It depends on the ENB, but the one I use (Project ENB) should be fine. A rule for good performance with an ENB mod is to disable SSAO (Ambient Occlusion). Project ENB has a number of presets for various performance settings so you won't have to muck around in an ini file.
I had one issue with GFWL which I think was because the hotmail address I use for live stuff switched to Outlook, but I just had to delete and re-retrieve my profile.
It's been super stable otherwise, hardly dropped from the fps cap with the fix for the resolution installed even on my shitty PC (core 2 2.13, 4870).
I bet those boobs are the most dangerous enemy in the entire game.
Everything is riddled with spikes and teeth and death, but those mounds are probably there to lull you into a false sense of security until....something unspeakable happens.

They're totally a trap. Bad things happen if you try to touch them. It's considered horribly sinful.
The hearts look a little pixelated and the map looks pretty simplistic, but the art of that game hasn't aged a day; they really knocked it out of the park with that one, even if it wasn't truly appreciated in it's day
Playin some Just Cause 2. I like how it has all these varied environments I can go to and cause chaos and it runs so damn buttery smooth with all this loaded.
I'm usually a sucker for open-world games, but there was something about Just Cause 2 that bored me silly. The graphics are beautiful - but at the same time there was always something sterile about the environments, at least to my mind. The place lacked personality IMO, especially compared to the worlds that Rockstar creates.

I don't really go much for GTA games either, but yeah, I just didn't really get into JC2. It was big but there was nothing uniquely fun about doing its towns and villages, it just felt endlessly repetative. Maybe I should've ignored all that and stuck with the main story missions, but by the time I had gotten to my second faction capture mission with each of the factions I was bored stiff.

Somebody may have said it in the Steam thread, but play through the agency missions just for the final mission. It's worth it.

Lordy, Wind Walker sure is lovely in HD. Did you play it on a computer?

You're not alone--I think it was a substantial step up from the original game, and it was much better looking than Mercenaries 2, but the cost of that very impressive environment was a lot of empty space, I suppose.

The thing I love about JC2 is that even after exploring the island it never didn't feel huge to me. That illusion kinda falls apart in GTA IV to a certain degree, but I played JC2 soon after and it held me all the way to the end.
That is insane. Like they've mapped the layouts of every part of whole cities purely by death locations. Like you throw an arrow, and wherever it lands, somebody probably had a death there.

Yeah I saw that. Actually the reason that made me dig out my copy. Pretty awesome breakdown.
Would WW look that good if you connected a Gamecube to a monitor ? Is it simply a matter of resolution? I've only played it on a CRT.
Even if you output to a monitor, the Gamecube itself is outputting at Standard Definition (480p), so it would probably look largely the same. What's happening in those screens above is basically that because the game's being run through an emulator on more powerful hardware, they're free to bump up the actual resolution being outputed by the engine. So they can run the game at 1080p even though it was never originally designed for that.
This works for 3D games since it's all just a matter of scaling. It especially works with something like Wind Waker because of its "cartoon" style visual design and shading (large, bold sweeping colours, not a tonne of surface detail), so you don't really see the effects of poor quality textures being upscaled. But if you look at things like say, the HUD elements, you might notice that those are a bit blurrier than the rest of the stuff on-screen. That's because the HUD is actually 2D artwork overlayed onto the screen before it's outputed. And that 2D artwork was designed purely with a standard, 480p television in mind, so when it's enlarged, it gets fuzzier, and looks slightly less well defined compared to everything else.
That's also why with something like Xenoblade Chronicles there's a fan based project to make an HD version. The actual game is in 3D, but it uses a lot of 2D assets for things like character portraits, and for all the texturing. So they're trying to replace all those with higher definition versions in order to match the rest of the game.

How is the game on PC? Is it worth the cost when considering the stability/GFWL etc? (I already know it'll be a great gameplay experience)
I was wondering about this. Apparently, once you get GfWL setup on your PC, it stops being an issue (compared to other clients anyway).
Now that there's a big resolution mod, I guess it might be worth getting it on PC rather than Xbox 360. Though I suspect mod support (for a private offline game, of course) will remain largely nonexistent.
NDA has dropped so I can finally post some Planetside 2 screenshots. Note these were taken during various beta phases so some graphic settings were hard locked.
I thought this came out well, the line of text with the rain and lightning really works. Grabbed it when I started GW2. I like how they marry in the static backdrops.
trying out the ENB cinematic mod from mass effect 3 on mass effect 1. has much better film grain and running a few texture mods. doing a whole trilogy run with this badass motherfucker. the mod also runs with smaa or whatever its called. massive improvement over the original, looks even better in motion and still get smooth 60fps.
i was running a full texture mod but had too many hud glitches for my liking, settled for just light map and shadow texture improvements, the garrus face fix and liara's shadow broker face for more consistency.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

But I would believe you if they included one for specifically this one scene, only to have it followed by YOU DIED.
Now I'm going to be disappointed if that isn't the case.

And if that is the case, I did not know. I will not talk about it here. Even though it is open source and I used my own disc to play.

I'm going to guess at 'yes', given the FPS indicator in the top left corner.
I also heard recently that fans are doing an HD makeover for Xenoblade Chronicles.
