I don't normally play a lot of games on my tablet, but I had downloaded a game called Rocket Island that is a very fun puzzle game. And I've also played a lil' bit of Temple Run 2.
Bejeweled 2 for Android is messing up on me, even after reinstallation. Every sprite, menu phrase and image is garbled so I can't read or see what I'm doing properly. Does anyone know what problem this is?
Hey, can anyone recommend a droid phone? I'm gonna be upgrading sometime this weekend and could use the help choosing. Preferably with a physical keyboard, though not an absolute must. Thanks!
While physical keyboards used to be a thing it was more of a "transition" for people getting into smartphones or moving over from their Blackberry. Most of the big names such as
Samsung Galaxy S3 is the most popular all-around Android stamdard-bearer right now. Depending on your carrier you may also have access to some powerhouses like the HTC One X+ or HTC Droid DNA, or the Nexus 4.
have 4.3" - 4.8" screens and on-screen keyboards with word swiping tech so typing on a touch screen is fairly spacious in portrait mode and not nearly the hassle it used to be.
@Antihippy How is it on the Nexus 7? I thought it was unoptimized for it. Also I'm guessing it's not a good game to play if I'm sensitive to flashing lights.
If you'd like a phone with good battery life, Note 2 is the best I think (probably 2x battery as my old Nexus S). Otherwise go for a Nexus to not deal with carrier crap like restricted tethering and not getting OS updates.
I picked up Plague Inc. yesterday and sweet baby jesus is that game fun as hell. Your goal is to mutate and spread a disease so that it completely wipes out humanity. When you beat the game with one disease, you unlock the next variant so you start with bacteria, then go to virus, then fungus, and so on. Each variant has its own interesting characteristics that will require you to change your tactics on how best to spread it and what symptoms it should produce since some of the symptoms also boost a disease's infectiousness. The more symptoms you have the more humanity will work to try and cure you though so you have to manage your mutations carefully.
The mutations lend the game an interesting sandbox feel since there are a bunch of different symptom paths and transmission methods letting you do goof off runs where you try to kill the world with the common cold or something like that. All in all it's worth every penny.

So basically it's that one flash game where Madagascar always closes its port and cockblocks you?
Can anyone recommend a decent rpg for android? I don't mind paying, obviously. Doesn't have to be ftp. I have a Droid Razr Maxx, if that helps.
I know it gets a lot of crap for its price, but I found Chaos Rings to be a fairly solid JRPG.
Yeah, I picked it up on sale and have thoroughly enjoyed it. A completely unspectacular JRPG with two neat mechanics (elemental damage/resistance actually being worth a damn and the pair/solo attack dynamic).
So maybe a strange request and allready answered, but is there a way I can play mario super bros or anything really similar on my smartphone. I am having a bout of nostalgia.

There is no legal way to play nintendo games on an Android phone. There is, however, a remake of the old super Mario clone "giana sisters" available on the Android marketplace.

Also, that's called emulation and we aren't allowed to discuss it on these boards.

Quell is a pretty nice puzzle game with good music.
I just found SpellWood by accident. Its like a Single Player Words with Friends. You play vs. the PC and your point score causes their health to go down and they do the same. I've had it for a couple of hours and randomly cracked out and played 5 or 6 boards. Really enjoyable.
The RPG elements (Gear, items, leveling up, etc.,) are kind of light, but not unwelcome. So far, I highly recommend it despite being $1.99
I wanted to warn you all to avoid Puzzle and Dragons.
It is like those match 3 games like bejeweled plus pokemon. Actually now that I think of it the game is like Puzzle Quest but without the questing. You match 3 or more colored gems to do damage with the creature of the same color on your team.
Again avoid this game at all cost. It has consumed me and I wanted to warn others before it consumed them as well since it is free to play.
I'm kidding, this game is so awesome if you do love playing bejeweled type games, collecting monsters and evolving them by gathering other monsters. The things I would advise those who are playing are:
Don't spend your magic coins on anything other than more boxes or slot machine pulls. The only time you want to waste them on continuing a dungeon is much later on in the game.
Read the daily note for what dungeons/events are going on that day.

So now I've been playing this game for a couple hours on the tablet I'm trying out, when it says that if I delete the app I have to start over. Does that mean if I don't keep this tablet and get a different one everything will be gooooooone? And I can't play the same guy on my phone? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
I picked up Battleloot Adventure yesterday - it's free and pretty fun so far. It has some RPG elements to it and a pretty neat tactical fighting system with a paper/rock/scissors mechanic. I haven't played too much yet, but so far it doesn't seem like in-app purchases will be really necessary, and you seem to earn money at a decent rate.

Yeah unfortunately it is like those where your data is only on your device. Get a new one or play on your phone and you have another account. Unless you use a backup program (Titanium Backup is the most famous, but you have to have root but there is another called Carbon that says you don't need root access). The good thing is that if you have a tablet and phone going at the same time you can link and share your two creatures with yourself. Makes some grinding easier.

Nope haven't seen that at all. It does help surfing forums and reading websites to find the optimal dungeons to grind and get super creatures. Honestly I have not spent a cent on the game and have been playing it since Christmas and I've managed to grind up a pretty good team of dragons and gods now.
Another suggestion is to get as many friends as you can. Then after you hit your limit of friends remove those that either don't play as often or creatures you don't really care to use. But I'd suggest keeping at least one open friend slot for those random people who want to add you and just so happened to have a super creature.
So far the best ones I like are: Green Odin (significantly reduces damage to you if you're at full health) and the Ancient Dragon Knight (the one that does 2x's damage for dragons as a leader skill).

I haven't figured out the optimal way to feed creatures to other creatures/evolve. I'm always short on cash.
I ran the emerald dragon dungeon yesterday and got some of those, and I have some green dragon eggs. I don't really have a good green creature to level up, though. I have two four star light creatures.
Got a link to a good explanation on evo/enhance for this game, or just some tips?

Gah, I so forgot the beginning was cash painful. The weekend special dungeon is cash heavy so that'll help you there. The beginning you'll probably be using slimes, baby carbuncles and even evo material as your monster team. I wouldn't use Evo material to power up your other units, just sell them if you're not going to use them for cash. Don't worry the first Dungeon of ______ are just basically tutorials of the different colors. Not till you get out of the "Tower of Trials" does it start to get harder and you'll get stronger creatures.
I'm out of the tower. I think I have a real team, but I have a bunch of evo material (dragon seeds) and enhance material (emerald dragons) and I'm not totally clear what I should do with them.
