i started buying comics when i could get JMS spidey's at the grocery store

then they stopped carrying those and I started buying x-men backissues and following morrison's new x-men

i got out of it after a few years, then after like a 6 year break i got back into it after grabbing up trades from whedon's astonishing x-men (which was by no means recent, I just missed it when it came out)

i never went back to singles though, fuck floppies

I read a bunch of my uncles old comics when I was a kid, but didn't start buying comics until like, House of M started, I guess. It was a combination of lack of funds and lack of knowledge of where comic shops were.

i remember one of the first trades i ever read was the one with Venom's introduction
i thought that the symbiotes were SO COOL

i also remember the secret wars trade, and also a collection of spider-man's greatest stories

the kid who collects spider-man ;_;

    Yeah!

He is seen working with Richards on the cure because, shockingly, dude knows a ton about blood and how to create cures for diseases.

I read a LOT of sonic the hedgehog comics as a kid.

It had some pretty neat stuff going on, especially the "Endgame" storyline leading up to the major 50th issue.

And then Sega went off its fucking rocker with the Sonic 'story'

I don't think there was ever a rocker there to go off of

to be fair, venom was pretty dang cool in the beginning

    then carnage came to be

then venom kidnapped spidey's robot parents

    then maximun carnage

    and it just kept going

Venom was really neat in the beginning, yes!

and now he is great once again

This is all true, but by issue 160 (yes I can't believe the comic lasted that long either) Archie put a relatively unknown writer named Ian Flynn on the book and it's been great ever since.

    I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!!!

    I love Flash Venom yes

But Anti-Venom can go to hell

Eddie Brock should have never been seen again after Back in Black

Like seriously, they did some crazy shit with Sonic the hedgehog comics.

And then once they had to start making it follow the 'story' of the sonic videogames, it fell apart.

i have the spider-man ultimate guide by tom defalco

i was always angry at him for not including the Shocker at all

also there was a really weird drawing of a spider-man costume with elements of green in it

While I love The Last Temptation of Eddie Brock as much as you do

I think crazy self-righteous evangelical Eddie Brock seeking to purify the world is a pretty great direction to go

They weren't that bad IMO. Hal's actually more creative with his ring back in those days.

If you want to give Big Time a shot, the bundle of the first 5 issues is like 7 or 8 bucks on comiXology

Shows what you guys know about stealth.

That's just what the stealth suit looks like in Las Vegas.

In new york it looks like a flaming bag of dogshit.

The suit is actually invisible to anyone who isn't wearing special lenses keyed to its visual wavelength or something

the neon green is for Peter's benefit as it lets him keep track of where his limbs are in an otherwise invisible suit
