So, I've come to a fork in my life, and am changing things up to well, start a new chapter.
The problem is that my old way to organize and stay on top of things have slowly eroded and the only thing that's left is a basic calender and a to-do list with entries that are months overdue.
This is all not working out for me anymore, and I need a fancy (electronic) way to keep track of the project that is my life.
Something like Microsoft Project seems very tempting, but the price of $600 seems a lot, even though it does what I want to do:
1) compile and create projects and long/middle/short term goals
2) put them on a time line
3) tract their progress
4) tract what I've accomplished this day / week / month
5) integrate with an electronic calender, so that I have a day-to-day overview of what I should be doing. (Don't know if it does this)
6) In fact, recurring weekly events and appointments would be great if this is integrated.
So, can anyone recommend project management software that's good for personal use? I'm hesitant of spending this much on what boils down to a fancy way to replace paper and post-its, but I have noticed that my life is much better if I have it planned out. (Even if I don't end up following it, having these things written down and somewhat set help tremendously)

Cool! I'll look into it, I see that is also runs on iPad, so I'm in luck.
edit: ...that's assuming you have a Mac, I just posted this because I saw Things mentioned. :P
