Dumbbells

It's pretty simple. I've been getting into doing curls and stuff for my triceps lately, and I'm thinking I need to upgrade (at least for my biceps). The question is, should I buy the next level or should I get this thing that I saw in the store which has varying weights on a single dumbbell? You just slide a ticker to how much weight you want on the dumbbell and then only that amount stays on it. Sorry, I'm terrible at describing it, but hopefully you have an idea. Should I just go with that?

With 25 pound dumbbells, I can do five reps of twenty without getting tired. I should upgrade, right? But where do you guys think I'll cap out at? I'm 6'4" with a broad frame (played football a few years ago).

I hate you and you hate me.

Probably a wiser investment to buy the varying weight (the one my friend had was called "The Block" I think). Weights are pretty expensive, and you could easily grow out of the 5 pounds heavier ones and be out a hundred bucks

The varying weight one also lets you do a set of 10 of a weight you can only manage 10 on, then down 5 pounds, barely get 10 of that, etc. instead of possibly only managing sets of 10/8/6.

The varying weight ones are great and much cheaper compared to buying individual dumbbells. Between that and a bench you've got a basic gym and can work nearly every muscle group for cheap, and that's from personal experience. I highly recommend it.
