I'm certainly not trying to speak ill of Psychonauts. I am just looking forward to the next one, because I know it'll be as fun and artistically great as the last one, but with better, cheaper tools for making great high res textures and high-poly models.

Yeah I felt not enough people would know who Ben Savage was, so I cast a wider net. Some day I'll do little comics that no one gets but me and 4 other people, but for now, this is my route
when I was in 2nd grade, we were in line at school waiting for recess and a friend of mine told me that "fuck" meant "cool." it might not have even been malicious, maybe he'd overheard a "fuck yeah!" or something.
but later that week I was being dragged through Walmart by my mom and we went by the electronics section, where I saw the rack of new VHS releases, and blurted out "oh fuck! Jumanji!"
they should probably change the 3D texture in psychonauts to something more stylistic
I mean, if there's one genre that could stand cel shading with a backface culling outline, it's adventure games

it was kind of impressive just how gross that was
Artistically it was great, but it had a lot of muddy textures and low polys.
Even for the time it came out, I felt it should have been a bit cleaner
edit: In fact, it came out the same year as RE4, a game for gamecube with good, high res textures.
