Laptop video + sound to T.V.

This is for a laptop with only DVI-out for video, and the jack (green)-out for headphones. The T.V. I want the sound+video to go into has only one composite-in (RCA) slot (yellow/white/red). I was wondering if there are such things as a DVI to Composite-Video converter cable and a cable that will split my headphone jack into separate red/white for the Left/Right speakers of the T.V.? If so, what are the proper names (if any) for such cables so I can better search for them? Thanks for the support.

Well, splitting your headphone jack to left and right is super-easy! You can get a headphone splitter cable (like this (random cable from 2 seconds of googling) for that at Radio Shack or something, nice and cheap. Depending on what you have lying around it might also be cheaper to use an existing headphone splitter, if you have one, and just stick a regular RCA-to-RCA cable into it (this is what we were doing here, bought the left/right cable at a dollar store and already had the splitter). It's the DVI-to-composite converter that might be a little tougher to just buy from there, but Foomy already linked you to Monoprice for some options for that, so there you go.
