I did flip through it, to look at the last page.

    Yayyyyy!

    Hold on though
That could be anyone from an adaptoid or other descendant android (we've seen that they like to take on personas of the dead heroes) to Flash somehow in the ant-man suit

I refuse to make a call till this story ends!

    Yeah, I'm cautiously optimistic.

The solicits did say someone would die.

    So, who knows?

I did think it was unusual that he would actually call himself the Irredeemable Ant-Man.

    probably because somebody forgot

    and that somebody

    was Brian Michael Bendis

now I know what you are thinking

Brian Michael Bendis? Forgetting or even worse, not knowing a point of continuity?

    madness

and yet, I posit that it is the truth

Even if Bendis did write that part I don't think you're snark would work. Hope's powers have always worked against the person it was stolen from correct? Rogue and any other power stealers too I think.

Isn't Avengers Assemble an exception to Bendis leaving the Avengers franchise at the end of the year? Maybe that's where they are going to put the Ultron War in?

Nope, he showed up in Avengers 12.1 and Point One, both of which were by Bendis and lead to Ultron War. Or the Age of Ultron whatever they are calling it.

He was also in The first arc of the Avengers, and his head has been in Moon Knight.

His head was in Moon knight, but Inferno beat me to it, but on the topic of Moon Knight, surprised Madame Masque being unmasked in that title didn't cause any stir.

Madame Masque wore the mask because she was horribly burned or scarred or something

but The Hood cured that with his infinity gem powers during the second arc of Avengers

I like Madame Masque's mask. Also, it's kind of thematic to her character, given the name and all.

I'm just wondering how they're going to tie down the entire Moon Knight story with one issue left, #12 is supposed to be the last one right?

Also, now that I've slow-poked through this week's pull, damn Vision. Cold as ice! I guess he has the right though considering.

If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.

Vision got killed last time, so in his mind, what's the worst that could happen?

    Well no

she's not actually responsible for what happened

because she was insane at the time

    Vision is wrong

but then Vision is also going through severe trauma

so it's understandable that he would feel that way

I just read AvX #1. For some reason the comic shop in town had it on the shelves today. Nothing too crazy.
Nova crash lands on Earth warning the the Phoenix Force is coming - there's no indication of who Nova is though. This gets the Avengers in a tizzy so Cap heads to Utopia to bring Hope into "protective custody". Cyclops pulls his whole "this is a mutant problem" and they get into a fight. Cap says "Avengers Assemble" and it turns out that the Helicarrier has been cloaked above the island with the Avengers (including Wolverine) ready to attack. They have some weird American Gladiator jousting sticks too.

  • KyouguKyougu Registered User regular
I always forget Wanda is a mutant.

  • Centipede DamascusCentipede Damascus Registered User regular
That's probably because her mutant power is "can use magic"

  • KyouguKyougu Registered User regular
    Isn't that Magick's power too?

  • SolarSolar Registered User regular
well actually her mutant power is that she can control quantum probability

it's just that she also learnt magic

mostly because she was already called the Scarlet Witch and some writer thought she should be a real witch

In the next issue, the battle is interrupted when both sides are forced to fight off the break-dancing demon monkeys that suddenly fly out of Wolverine's ass.
