Magneto's been punished so many times, Cracked could do an article on the five craziest Magneto punishments.

Years ago when his biggest crime was destroying a commie sub, he was on trial by the UN, but he was found not guilty because he was reborn after Secret Wars in being a good guy.
Then he was an anti-hero, but in the 90's killed thousands of people during Fatal Attractions, and waged a bloody war in Genosha to gain control of the country, and the whole destruction of NYC (though that was removed with the really bad Xorn retcon). And he saved San Francisco from an earthquake recently.
He's only really been held accountable for his crimes in the normal prison sense once, the others were the kind of normal superhero things; turned into a baby, "died", mindwiped, gets a country for stopping his clone, stabbed, stabbed, gets control of his crazy daughter despite getting high on Sublime, no powers, powers, PR spin makes him a good guy.

I welcome Lieber to the book, but I would just let him draw the story instead of some hurricane sandy aftermath stand alone (let's hope this time there's no Thor #3 WTF moment)
-Carol Danvers is Ms. Marvel, not Captain
-Hawkeye is wearing his classic outfit
-There appears to be a picture of Bucky as Captain America on the far right
-Norman Osborn has a picture on a wall of heroes for some reason
-The Sentry is there

Bryan Hitch probably drew that page over 2 years ago
Remember, AoU is full on Ultron has won. Heroes and villains probably don't care much about previous allegiances.
Ultron couldn't fully conquer the Kree Empire with Magus and the Phalanx. What chance does he have taking Earth?
I'm just ... ick ... at the idea because that implies the eventual whitewashing or ignoring of all the thousands or millions of deaths certain to "happen" in this event.
backwards little mudball distinctly lacking in Space Jesus i.e Nova Prime
The lack of Nova Prime is not what does the Earth in. Its the lack of Rocket Raccoon and his buddy Groot. If those two were on Earth, Ultron wouldn't stand a chance.
Ultron killed Groot(well a Groot) in Annihilation: Conquest, bro.
I prefer to look at it as Groot sacrificing a large portion of himself to aid his friends that bought the time needed to lead to the victory over Ultron. That's the kind of dedication needed.

Gotta be honest, Hawkeye #4 tried to be a little too clever with the story and it didn't work it's magic like the other issues did. Basically the whole thing revolves around
Clint killing OBL #2 or whoever would be the baddest guy in the Marvel Universe at the request of SHIELD, and the one tape that shows this is up for auction to a bunch of bad guys. So Clint goes to Madripoor to get it back, hijinks, Kate saves his bacon.
It seems to take place in recent times, given Clint's costume, but the general idea that Clint killing the most wanted man in the world would be devastating to SHIELD and the President just doesn't really work. I mean, he's not killing Steve Jobs or Bob Barker, what outrage would there really be? And it all centers around a VHS tape being the only copy available in order to allow the time to pass without it being a Youtube thing, then again, just copy to digital and upload away, if you really want to damage the good guys reputation.
I guess it would work better if this is the only time you've known Clint, but with Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, even Secret Avengers, this just doesn't really make me feel like it's a real conflict for Clint, let alone SHIELD in general.

Basically every story that's had Magneto mass murdering people has been fucking terrible and I'm more than fine with Marvel ignoring them.

Fatal Attractions was good, because it seemed like the right kind of vengeance Magneto would pull on the world and in particular the X-Men, he was just fed up and finally lashed out, and if Magneto died at the end of that it would have been fine (and if they wanted to make Joseph stay around permanently as good Magneto it would work).

Yeah, the Kree Empire is way harder to conquer than Earth. For one it is fucking massive, and two it has a far more advanced military presence that could put up one hell of a fight. And Ultron pretty much did conquer it, if I remember right. There were only a handful of pockets of resistance.
Earth has a bunch of superheroes, but if you sneak up on them(like Ultron seems to do) and take everyone major out fast it'll fall easy.
Dark Avengers came out today as well, and.....yeah, I think I'm done. I was mostly reading it spinning out of the old Thunderbolts, but now that its been resolved I don't think I have much interest in the new team.
The whole transition was kind of sloppy and I wish Thunderbolts had gotten a more satisfying conclusion. Oh well, room for another NOW title I guess.

Hell, I want Disney to buy Hasbro just to make this happen.

I write about video games and stuff. It is fun. Sometimes.
In that art:
-Carol Danvers is Ms. Marvel, not Captain
-Hawkeye is wearing his classic outfit

Also, yeah it is the possible Anti-Ultron resistance/potential allies board or something.

but the new Captain Marvel and Captain America outfits certainly hadn't been designed yet back then
Take that Solar.

compare Earth to the Kree Empire

i saw this and i was sad because it's the closest i'll ever get to a new rom comic
but hitch is my hero

"Check on all Spaceknights"
"Who can you trust? NOT Pym"
"Check with Xavier
-might be too late"

The Kree Empire spans hundreds of planets and has tons of adjunct races that work with them.
Having as much population as one country on Earth is the stupidest thing.
The whole transition was kind of sloppy and I wish Thunderbolts had gotten a more satisfying conclusion. Oh well, room for another NOW title I guess.
but then during the Kree/Skrull war the Kree got naga bombed down to 300 million
which then got mostly ignored, apart from the numbers
clearly, the kree during the DnA cosmic period were much larger in number than 300 million
