Comic publisher IDW have officially announced the first ever official Doctor Who and Star Trek cross-over in the new 8 issue series "Doctor Who/Star Trek: The Next Generation - Assimilation2" beginning May. We'll see the Eleventh Doctor and Captain Jean-Luc Picard help together to fight the dreaded Borg and the Cybermen.

Potentially hilariously bad, as I found the Stark Trek / X-Men crossover. Don't know how they're gonna keep it going for 8 issues - seems like stuff like this would do better in a shorter series. I guess doctor who + star trek is slightly more reasonable a scenario.

It ought to be an interesting crossover as I do see the Doctor getting along best with the TNG crew. Anyway, the TOS crew are already in another crossover with time-travelers at the moment.
