I don't know, I don't think it would hurt to give him a shot. It's not like terrible movies don't come out all the time, what's to lose?

The Rock has improved greatly as an actor from movie to movie.

    Christ Jesus.

Did he actually need that explained to him?

    And he's Canadian?

For Christs Sake, I didn't need the reference explained to me... I needed to know why you said it, though. I made a post abot the musicians in the Blues Brothers. Two posts later, you said I checked the thread into the walls... why?

And Blues Brothers is God, if God were a movie made in the 70's.

Also, NHL hockey pales in comparison to World Cup hockey, because thos guys ain't getting paid.

I will go see this, and see Eminem's attempt to be a serious actor. Also, "Have Gun, Will Travel" is a cool series, even if it is being updated beyond recognition.

    Wiki wrote:
The Blues Brothers are an American rhythm and blues band founded in 1978 by comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live. Belushi and Aykroyd, respectively in character as lead vocalist "Joliet" Jake Blues and harpist/vocalist Elwood Blues, fronted the band, which was composed of well-known and respected musicians. The band made its debut as the musical guest on the April 22, 1978, episode of Saturday Night Live.

The band then began to take on a life beyond the confines of the television screen, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.
    My bad.

Nobody made fun of the movie, just the lack of acting by some of the musicians in it.

The Rock is a great performer. Would you call him a good actor?

Some of the movies he's been in have sucked, but I've always enjoyed The Rocks performance.

    Even in Doom?

Actually now that I think about it that was one of the most enjoyable moments in the history of cinema.

Doom was bad but it wasn't his fault. And for my money, Walking Tall is a fucking riot. I really enjoyed that movie.

    The Rundown was great.

He also did a pretty good job in Gridiron Gang.

I have yet to see Gridiron Gang but I am willing to Netflix it. The Rundown is fun but just a tad overdone for my taste. Also could have used a little more Walken and a lot less Sean William Scott.

Good actor? Anyone can play himself in a movie. That's not acting.

I'm with marblehead, no one who's ever attempted acting would say that. It's fucking hard like you wouldn't believe.
I can't really convince you though until they actually turn a camera on and you are about to say your line.

A bit more never being made would have been fine by me.
