It....kinda barely is. It's like, a later cup guard (they should have gone with a swept hilt, they are way prettier) style spanish rapier but then with the quillons further up the blade for no reason, instead of being at the crossguard, and curving backwards also for no reason.
/nerd
I was more referencing the slope of the blade; your standard European sword is straight (90 degree angle) for 90% of its length, and then slopes at the end to create a point. Rapiers (iirc) begin sloping from the hilt.
Fiora's sword looks like your standard longsword with a basket hilt.
I can confirm that my rapier, and rapiers in general, taper for the entire length of the blade (though iirc they do taper more noticeably at the very end, it is not a constant taper throughout) . Though, honestly, I can't tell what that blade is supposed to be doing due to the perspective that is going on in the art.
Yeah. I've seen her in-game model, and the blade doesn't really taper at all.
Any tips to someone who is just picking her up? Been reading up on spamhappy's guide on TSM's site, and messed around in a couple bot games (just to get used to her timings and ranges). She seems fun.

I don't know how she does top lane, I just run her in the jungle. AD reds and quints, AS blues, armor yellows, QWQEQR. Wolves->Blue->Wraiths->Wolves->Red->Wraiths. Smite/Flash, 9/21/0.
Two basic builds:
AP Poppy: Wriggles, Lucidity, Sheen, Lichbane. Pick up a Deathcap, Rylai's, GA, and sell Wriggles for a Void Staff.
AD Poppy: Wriggles, Mercs/Lucid, Zeal, Ghostblade, PD, iEdge, and GA.
There's also hybrid Poppy, but hybrid items are expensive to put together and I'm not a big fan of them.
Things to note: Q resets your swing timer, so be careful of that when getting in that last hit or when jungling. It also converts all damage into magic damage, so it doesn't benefit from ArmPen or life steal.
W is awesome, buts obliterates your mana pool; be sure to use it while jungling with blue buff.
E can be hard to use; if you gank a lane, be sure to ward the bushes people might run through. A great way to gank mid lane is to come in from behind them, flash->E them into your mid lane (great for guys like Viktor, Ryze, Malz).
R increases all damage, including damage from stuff like Ignite, DFG, On-Hit, Gunblade, etc.
Basically, you're a farm jungler who hypercarries. Make sure your team survives that long with ganks, but don't over-commit because you have ~0 escape ability.
Jungle Poppy sounds neat too. I'll try to learn her as both eventually for maximum flexibility, might as well get as much mileage out of a champ as you can.
No, I didn't. The map is symmetric, yeah, (I incorrectly said it was asymmetric) but the way the meta works, along with the power balance between blue and red buff means that one side has an obvious advantage (blue team). There are more people bot and red buff is less important than blue, so the team with blue buff at the bottom of the map is at an inherent disadvantage[...]
It's also easier to grab Purple's red because again, there are fewer people up top to contest it and in the early game, less reason to ward top river than bottom.
The map is not symmetric. But that part of the map is symmetric when not accounting for the buff types. If we say that a skirmish lost bot loses purples blue we must also say it loses blues red. But for some reason you aren't saying that, you're saying that blue is uniquely advantaged. Then you go on to say that they're uniquely advantaged again in ease of taking purples red for precisely the opposite reason as before.
Anyway: Lets say for a second that blue is more important in the scheme of things. Well, with the weaker warding meta and solo lanes top/mid this makes it easier for purple to steal blue the more important buff.
Again, you can't have it both ways. Blue team cannot have the advantage on both buffs.
Since red buff isn't really that important in the scheme of things
Redbuff adds a 20-100 true damage DoT to the wielders attack and slows targets by significant amounts. If your opponent has red buff in lane, they win. Unless your jungler is very heavily CDR dependent ganking with red is just about as good as ganking with red/blue.
. Skirmishes are far more likely to occur in the south river and if blue team loses the skirmish and their buff is up, they (in addition to losing dragon) also lose their blue.
Your buffs should not be sitting around waiting for you to lose a skirmish to lose it. If you're having a skirmish at blue and your blue is up its because the other team came to contest it. And just like you can go get theirs, they can go get yours.
What is your infinite gold Shen build? Just ran into a 67 minute game, and didn't know what to buy. Frozen Mallet is pretty core, but not sure about the rest.
Man Surfer Singed and Super Teemo on sale? First world problems, man.
If I remember right surfer singed in game model wasn't as cool as the splash art. Hextec singed went on sale the next week so I had to pick it up as well.
Super teemo on the other hand.... I'm like 30 RP short. I want to buy it but then I'm spending probably $10 on RP to get that 30, and will have more left over, probably just close enough to get a champ I've been wanting....
30RP could get expensive. But it's super teemo, who I never play.
Edit
And I just know if I buy it next on sale is super villain veigar who I must have, and I don't play.
I am really just blown away by Malzahar's damage potential. With 435 AP, my potential damage was 3k + 55% of an enemy's max hp if I got to land everything correctly.
Enemy team first picks morganna in ranked. I have 2nd pick and if someone has to face morganna, it's going to be me and not some random. So I pick brand. Team is dragon lady jungle wukong top brand mid (me) alistar and, wow I don't even remember think our ad wasn't very good. He picked something wacky.
Enemy was morg mid, GP top (last counter pick) rammus jungle (because we banned poppy and someone else we shouldn't have) sona and... Nocturne. Yeah WTF
I leash for red, and get blue at like lvl 2 and from there on. I complete shut morganna down. I started boots + pots she started doran's ring. I was able to juke her skill shots, while hitting my aoe for harass. Add in an E and dead minions, more DMG to her than me, and her pool is now useless. I have blue and she doesn't so I can waste my W's harassing her out if lane, she pools, I kill some minions with spells.
Had my party hat and sorc boots at 14ish minutes. Ryali's and WoTA shorly after (not my normal build. They had no MR and we were snowballing pretty hard more on that in a bit)
When I was lvl 7 she was lvl 5 with 23 CS or skmehig like that. I was in the 60's I know that. She was 1/1/1 while I was 0/1/1 (should have been 0/1/3 . ). With the boots and pots I was able to send her back to fountain, and survive early rammus ganks with flash. I actually managed to hit rammus with an E/Q/W on the first gank attempt but had to run away after.
What's funny is come team fights we were effectively down. We were behind 5 kills I believe, a towe, and a dragon. But, their mid tower was at 1/4 life from me pushing lane, and they were sitting at about an avg of 60cs (not counting morganna who was way low) where we were all sitting at like 120.
We were just too fed. One W would take a 1/3 of almost anyones life. Multiple times I had to say" need to b, 3k gold"
They won in a lot of ways. Had the towers, had a dragon on us, kills. But we easily doubled them in CS, our mid always had blue while theirs didn't, and team comp might have come into play.
I thought it was going to be a rough early/mid game with us winning If we held on. Instead 35 min surrender.

That is some seriously scary shit.
Yeah but he is very squishy and very slow. His Q can be a hard skillshot to land, especially defensively, his E pushes the lane, and his ult also disables him.
I love malzahar, when I first started playing this game he was free. When he went unfree I dropped $50 for the 2 bundles and malzahar. He can be really awesome and do a lot of DMG, but a QSS kills his ultimate, and you require your team for a W to do good DMG in a team fight.
No, I didn't. I disagree with you then.
Red buff's utility ends as soon as you approach mid-game and even early game it's not really that worthwhile because 9 times out of 10 the guy you're trying to gank has flash. In the previous incarnation it was basically a guarenteed kill if they didn't flash. Now? Well, assuming you're fighting people without gap closers and without flash, it can make a difference, but I don't know, that's all theory. I'm not really seeing red buff make a significant impact in the games I play. That's not to say it's worthless, but compared to blue it's not important in the scheme of things. And I think that despite the fact that the two red jungles are symmetrical, experience tells me that Blue side is tougher to invade due to the amount of people down there that could potentially gank you. Purple's red has 2, at most 3 people who can gank you taking their red, Blue has 3, at most 4 that can catch you in their jungle so the risk is much higher and therefore their jungle gets invaded less, IMO.
(Blue) Bot lane can meanwhile force a teamfight or confrontation any time Purple's blue comes up (and often do involving most of their teammates), whereas Purple doesn't really have that luxury when it comes to Blue's blue.

nothing quite like hitting that late game HUNGRY DRAGON stage with Shyv where you just zoom around and pick up double and triple-kills
Why is it every time I want to play jungle twitch in blind pick everyone decides they want to play Teemo, Veigar, Kat, and Talon all on the same team with me?

Mostly random, although people that queue together are given preference. If you're solo-queueing, then you're gonna play support a lot.
If you make a custom game and get people to join, then I guarantee ~4 of them will be between level 1 and level 5.
It's like conscience-free smurfing.
teams always go first apparently. you will never be first pick in normal draft solo
