Cheers, dudes.
We are actively running around in the shadows. Here's the skinny.
Game - Shadowrun 4th Ed. Official splat books are fine for the most part. Core book races only, however. 400bp
Format - Maptools 1.3.b86 and Vent
Players Wanted - None at the moment, but feel free to show interest. Never know when we'll need replacements.
Experience in system needed - None. Just as long as you have the sourcebook. I've never run a Shadowrun game, so new players will fit right in.
Time / Date - Sunday 5 or 5:30 CST
So there you have it. The base details. Now on to the more titchy stuff.
Roleplayers, apply inside. Power/meta gamers need not. It will very much be a story and player driven campaign. Be prepared to do more than just roll d6 and calculate damage.
I'm new at this, so be prepared for a few sessions worth of fumbling and bumbling.
Alright, let's see if this generates some interest. Feel free to ask questions or what have you.

Mark me down as heavily interested, the only real issue I have is dedicating specific time. If this were pbp I'd be all over it. Will check and see if I'm able.
Confusion will be my epitaph

Still need a couple runners. Apply within.
What kind of party makeup do you have so far so I can start brainstorming concepts. I'll get down a couple and post them tonight/tomorrow morning to just get some ideas.
I could do a Face-ish character.
It handles dice rolls, tokens etc etc. The dm can upload maps, or, if he's a noob like me, he can sketch on it to show you layouts.
As for character sheets, it looks like I'll be using Myth Weavers. Having online, editable sheets means we can track things on the fly and it makes reference easy.
For those looking to make math a bit easier, Chummer's character generator is pretty decent and is very up to date. Download available here.
Party makeup looks like troll, human, ? so far.
The numbers won't carry over, but it should be fun considering the last time I played him I was surgical with an underbarrel grenade launcher.
As someone with a fair amount of experience in SR4E, assuming you've got your stats, skills, and requisite gear already taken care of, there are a few things it's ALWAYS good to have that new players overlook:
1): Doc Wagon contract.
2): A couple of burner SINs.
3): MOAR CONTACTS.
I'm at work until 3 cst. If you have steam or google chat I can pop on and off those around noonish.

Hmm, alright I guess just pop it up here for now.
OR toss it up here. I use a Mac, so I have to double-check everything by hand unless my filthy PC-using cohorts. But as far as I know, my characters haven't been broken except when I added up some adept powers incorrectly for Nadja Daviar (I should errata that) because I have to check every damn thing by hand. I spent eight hours straight running the numbers in Excel to get Hard Exit's stats done, for example, so I like to think I know a thing or two.
I'm pretty surprised mythweavers doesn't have a 4E sheet. I'd just like everyone's sheets to be in the same format so I can find things easily. Casting about for the best way to do that. All suggestions are welcome.

After graduating, he struggled for work a bit, the business world being less kind than academia. However, after his dad had a major accident, he pleaded with his coach for help, and Feldspar found an employer for him, who sometimes needed a bit of muscle, Ms. Joann McGregor. In exchange for his services, Ms. McGregor paid for all of his father's medical bills, and even hired Jack out to her friends so he could have some variety. Not all of these projects were above-board, and Jack became used to crossing the tracks occasionally, as it were.
In his spare time, Jack enjoys sparring at the local gym, whittling, rock-climbing, and Matrix games, particularly shooters—he doesn't use a gun on the job, but he likes to pretend every once in a while.
Anyway, I'll take a look at your sheet in a while.
Okay, quick rundown on Jack.
Attributes:
Jack has 215 BP worth. I assume it's because you forgot that sixth point of Agility costs 25 BP, not 10.
I'd recommend ditching the sixth point, and put those last 10 BP into Body since you're guy is clearly a bruiser. Or add it to Intuition to keep the 7 Initiative.
You didn't spend any BP on Edge, so you only have Edge 1.
Skills:
I count 88 BP spent on Active Skills, and 16 BP on Knowledge Skills. 104 Total. Unless the 12 free BP on Knowledge Skills hasn't been spent yet. Then I'm an idiot, but then the current BP cost rises to 116. Not 112.
Note whatever his Native language is.
Total BP:
The values you have add up to 402. Currently I have you at 384.
Att: 190
Skills: 104 (88+16)
Qualities: 5
Contacts: 36
Resources: 9

First take off your pants. Now send Keith a messa wait no that's wrong.
Make a runner!
If you're new to Shadowrun, I highly recommend downloading the demo version of Hero Lab, it makes character creation easy peasy.
I'm headed out the door to work, but I'll be on Steam this afternoon and we can chat over tea and buns.
We meet again.
