Print Spooler woes

Having some issues with my printer - I had an item in my print queue which was forever statused as 'deleting' and I go onlie and look for some help on how to actually delete it and get into my print spooler settings (Win7 btw)

So I do that, now I can't even get anything to open up as I get an error which says print spooler is not started. So I go back into the print spooler settings, make sure it is started, go to try and print and get the same error saying it's not started.

So I then try to uninstall/reinstall my printer, restart the computer and that doesn't seem to do the trick either. Can you guys help get me to the right direction so I can get my print on :)

Hmm...that at least brought up the option to print from my printer, but the spooler stops again and I can't get it going.

Try going to your "C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers" folder. It's the folder where print jobs are actually placed when in queue for a printer.

Two files in there 00002.SHD and 00002, a shockwave flash object. No idea what these are, what do I do with them?

edit: My issue seems to be my print spooler won't stay activated. Every time I start it, within like five seconds it just shuts down again and I can't print anything

delete all the contents of that folder and then start the spooler service.
