Vintage game stuff

So my brother, through odd circumstance, seems to have acquired a thrift store business. In the course of it, he's found, in their storage facility, a trove of a bunch of old NES games in varying degrees of quality. He's also found a never-opened original NES system in the box. I've looked on Ebay, Amazon, and the like, and I'm getting very disparate numbers. Is there a place to easily look up values of vintage games, accounting for condition?

There's really only a handful of Nintendo games that are worth more than $10-20 bucks these days honestly. We've got a shop in town that still sells retro gear and most of their stuff is in that price range.

As for the console, you might get a nice bump in price if the system is truly never opened, but with all the third party versions with honestly better hardware in them and the several probably hundred thousand units still in good working order, the console isn't worth much either.

    As for pricing

And if you've got one of these you're golden

I think a truly never opened original NES would probably fetch a really good price from a collector on ebay.

Complete in-package examples of the NES are currently listed on eBay for wildly varying prices, anywhere from a little over a hundred bucks to well over a thousand, depending on the specific package ("action set," "sports set," and so forth) whether everything is sealed, etc.

Oh man, I knew about the big stuff, but if ONLY he had Stadium Games.

That was my impression, but he's got a Zelda in-box with booklet and map, and while my gut was like "Probably 20-30", there are dudes selling them on Amazon for like $100 or more.

The console is truly not opened. It's one of the somewhat later non-ROB ones. I'll see if I can find out specifically, that might narrow down pricing.

No Zapper, apparently. It's a "Control Deck", so only 2 controllers. Not sure if it came with a game. Will see it this weekend.

If it has 2 controllers, it most likely has no pack in game.

I'd post this on digitpress' forums. Digitpress or CGCC, There are collectors there that would love to see what you have for sale. You're going to need to take a lot of pictures to confirm that it's 'new,' though.

Also, if you look at the NES price chart, you'll get an idea on how much you should charge on it.
