Catching errant lint

I'm going to be remodeling my laundry room in the next few months, and I have everything all planned out except for one thing: how to best capture errant lint. I know lint is bound to accumulate from normal use of my dryer, but my laundry room seems to be a lint magnet. It's everywhere. My wife is fastidious about cleaning up and I'm even more picky than she is, and yet it seems as though it keeps coming back. I'm looking for ideas to help keep my dryer lint in check.

If you're cleaning it after every use, try to wash it with water.
