Where's this "Outsiders is canceled" stuff coming from? They've already announced that Tieri is going to do the RIP tie-ins, they just haven't announced who's going to be the new regular writer.

The Tieri tie-in probably has to do with (Gotham Underground spoilers)
Apparently Penguin is in/leading the Outsiders now?

Well, he's been shown using the internet before. Stands to reason he'd know the acronyms.

I mean, he was shown browsing furry sites looking for a date.

    whaaaaaaat

I know there was some Batman/Penguin truce at the end of that book, which I thought was kind of intriguing, but that just sounds awful.

The whole "Batman is on the internet" thing reminded me of that Hawkman episode from JLU where he reveals he's been observing several internet forums.

Shit, Batman could be here, right now.

He figured out Batman's secret identity, which is supposed to be hard even though it wouldn't be.

Just to counter some nonsense I've seen "reported" on other sites.
    I did not quit.
I do not believe it had anything to do with politics.
My involvement with Robin ends with issue 174.
I think my BATO run is over with #10.
My Booster two-parter will still be appearing.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, Storming Paradise continues on schedule.
For those keep score, yes, I was way ahead on both of my monthlies. Down the road perhaps I'll offer those scripts and you folks can help out Books for Soldiers as you so generously have before.

Batman's only on there to talk to Detective Chimp and trade tips and furry sites with him.

Also, Batman actually solved the case.

I'm betting he got fired because of those nude pictures Keith sent him of himself when he fixed the whole Spoiler thing. Probably got flagged as child pornography.

Yeah, this has been his origin for years. As a kid he entered some puzzle-solving competition used to determine if someone was a genius. Rather than play fair, he stole the puzzle and practiced it until he could easily solve it, then replaced it, and predictably won the contest.

Riddler's definitely a genius, but he's also got a ton of ego, so he'll happily play dirty if it means he gets to look smarter than everyone else in the room.

There was apparently a story a few years ago which decided that he'd basically convinced himself that he cheated after his father assumed he cheated on it and beat the crap out of him for it. And then he got all pretty and actually managed to get away with the prize at the end of it. I saw bits of it on scans_daily a little while ago.

Naturally, the S_D community went nuts for "bishie-riddler".

It was a good story though, and I like the idea of Riddler himself being convinced he's not all that smart when really he is.

Wow, some of those remarks are pretty harsh. Sounds to me like he's fed up with the corporate bullshit and business politics of DC. For all the cool stuff that DC has going for it right now, they are making WAY too many mistakes. We're to the point now where Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, and Gail Simone are almost all that's holding DC together. All the other good writers have been run off.

While his first “Robin” issue was announced in DC’s September solicitations yesterday as #177, Nicieza confirmed he is also writing the two-issue “Batman R.I.P.” tie-in story arc in #175 and #176 with artist Joe Bennett on pencils, which were previously solicited with Chuck Dixon and Chris Batista as the creative team.

man what. we don't even get the issues penned by Dixon? DC I hate you
