Based on Wolverine's constant appearances everywhere it would add merit to the expanding earth theory!
I'm guessing Xavier had a team of X-Men before Scott and the other 4 originals, and it was led by Wolverine. Which could be pretty awesome, if Neal Adams got to write and draw it, like with Odyssey, without Gage to hold him back.

This is what, the third time they've gone back to that well? The last time being with Chuck Austen? If this is true, leave well enough alone, Marvel.

ahahahaha:
so ugly, and it looks like Wolverine is about to eat the kid.
One thing I don't get about the setup is that mutants weren't hated and feared until Trask started showing up, in the first few issues they were treated like heroes. Even in Parker's First Class it showed this angle. It wasn't until the idea of it being a genetic, ever growing part of humanity that people got all up in the mutie bashing.
I love how someone called it out on sounding a lot like the First Class movie and Adams just goes NUH UH despite it featuring a team of pre-X-Men X-Men in the past, including a Nazi hunting Erik Lensherr and a young Charles Xavier.
Lowe says this series is "firmly set in continuity" and "key to Wolverine's history."
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS AWFUL

Please please please tie into Romulus and evolving wolves and whatever Loeb is planning, let the terrible stories intertwine and create this big crap of a story.
I can never see these Livestream posts that CBR does, but I can see the art. Wolverine, Sabretooth... who are the other 3 on the team? Magneto and 2 new characters?

A black guy named Bomb and what looks like some muscular redhead who might be hispanic, it's hard to tell with Adams' art.
I can guarantee this is going to have so much dated civil rights overtones as he tries to capture that GA/GL magic. Nobody is on the other side of this issue:

I am laughing out loud at your post because it's so very right. I keep trying to think of an angle to spin a joke, to figure out the good idea before it goes bad, but then you end up with "Avengers 1959 + Neal Adams" and my brain just melts.
Seriously, who thought handing anything to the dude whose recent resume was a 30k absolutely batshit insane three-year-long Batman book?

No one did. It sounds like this whole project is Adams' baby and he has enough industry clout to do whatever he wants.
Also Munch I think that the recession made Marvel a little more concerned about trying more out there books. Whether that concern had solid foundations, I don't know, but it does seem like an understandable fear. And now we are getting weird books like the Defenders back, hopefully that will continue.
I'll say one thing about that Wolverine pic, at least he's drawn like he should always be drawn; Ugly. One of the best things about the early 2000s Rucka Wolerine run was that Logan was drawn short and nasty looking.

And yet everyone always instantly trusted him just the same. Since every woman in the MU reacts to him like he's Hugh Jackman, he might as well be.
I have a soft spot of the Cockrum widow's peak which goes half-way down his face, though.
I wish Marvel would put the B-List titles into one magazine (like Heavy Metal), so you can get exposure to a lot of characters at once. I would totally pay $7 a month if it combined 3 or 4 B-list titles into one magazine.

What.
You gotta be a stone cruel man to screw up Wolverine that bad. He's one of the easiest comic book characters to draw.
That looks more like Caribbean Man-Bat than anything else.
I think it's supposed to be Darwin because Caliban is sort of undead, I don't know what happened to him after Selena raised him during Necrosha. There are still a few "risen" mutants bumming around the globe after the fallout of that, they haven't really done anything with them yet.
If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten in your presence.

All I can picture now is
Wolverine: Odyssey
And am both excited and scared at the same time.
This sounds mega fucking dumb

Now it's all X-Men, Wolverine, Avengers, and several combinations thereof.

I can't blame them for sticking with what works, but I can for producing things like this.
Well, they are still doing that in their Ultimate Comics imprint!

probably not, sadly
Defenders is not doing so hot, sales wise
that sucks
yes it does
but then, so did Guardians and so did Thor: The Mighty Avenger and so did Agents of Atlas (so I hear)
sad times
it had a bunch of minis and two ongoings and no one ever bought them
For anyone who thought "What if he hadn't said that?"
Well, here ya go I guess.

those series where the kinds of things that I should, really, have wanted to read
but I just didn't
and I think a lot of people felt the same way
cool team, but missing a certain something
Diablo 3 - ArtfulDodger#1572
Minecraft - ArtfulDodger42
What.

Apparently some of Cyclops side shows up like Storm and Dazzler, but it looks like Cyclops and Emma aren't there. It's just like Civil War!
Is that Darwin or Caliban on the far left?

I write about video games and stuff. It is fun. Sometimes.
