man I wish this lecture series on the New Testament by prof. Bart Ehrman was free or streamable or something.

I think it would make a damn good "lets listen" + discussion thread. Like the "let's read" for the Old Testament that someone did. And which, among many other threads, totally proves what a bitchy, passive agressive lie is the common Chat trope that "religion threads always suck".

Most of you are doing a heck of a lot better than I did in my first game.

too bad it's also my last game

Extra rough for you because one of your games counted as two losses due to your character, so you had even less time to learn.

I realize the format isn't ideal but, I did want to have all 20 characters see some action.

I dunno, I've only had a few. Redemption rye was really good, though. Spicy but drinkable. Sazerac was another rye I enjoyed. Woodford was a good bourbon. Maker's Mark is good when I'm going out; most bars stock it.

have you tried any of the nicer Jim Beam bourbons (Booker's, Knob Creek Single Barrel, Baker's, etc), or any Van Winkle (preferably Lot B 12 year)? Maker's Mark is like, the baseline for acceptable middle-shelf whiskey, I find. Also it's perfect for mixing when you don't want to emphasize the flavour of the whiskey, like for a sour or something.

No, Jim Beam was probably what I would try next.

Marker's Mark is great for chugging when you are drunk enough to think that chugging Maker's Mark is actually a good idea.

I think I read Ehrman's A Brief Introduction to the New Testament or maybe The New Testament: A Historical Introduction to the Early Christian Writings. I probably should reread it or get another book to bone up. Same with OT stuff.

I don't know, aren't they? Or maybe they just like their chocolate.

But like, dark chocolate sprinkles on bread is like... dutch breakfast to me.

he is pretty much the best writer to go to for introductory / overview materiel for the New Testament. His "Lost Christianities" is also very interesting (it's about versions of Christianity from it's first 300 years that did not survive).

some years back on SE++ i suggested that someone google a specific term and click on the second result

because of the way the penny arcade forums have a freaky high google priority, that post became the second result on google

    Inquisitor, serious questions:

Why is Tribes: Ascend good and why should I give a shit?

(I'm actually interested. I just want to know what the appeal is.)
