The glass effect will work on VISTA only. The buttons at the top have a link for last.fm and wikipedia, buttons to colapse/expand the info panel, and to switch between the Playlist and Album List Panel.
This is recommended for dark backgrounds and if you can't see the Album List right click on it go to settings and change the background to black and the lines/font to white to have the same glass effect.
For the album art to work it must be in the same directory as the track and be labeled 'folder.*'. Also if you click the Album Art it can cycle between the Artist image and the cover, but you must have the image saved as 'artist.*' and in the same directory. Also change the settings on the Albums list panel, black bg and white font.

I really want to use that foobar config so bad but for whatever reason foobar just does not run on my machine. I have no idea why. Every time I start it up it crashes with "Unhandled exception: object already exists".
Way to be specific there, foobar. Google doesn't help me at all. WOE
Do you have recommendations for making your Adium list transparent? When I do it it just looks shitty! How do you make your font white and easy to see against the background?
I don't really have any tips, as I've never had a problem with my text looking shitty during transparency. In that screen, I'm using the Decay color theme and list layout (which come with a default install of Adium), with opacity set to 0%. Perhaps give that a shot, and if it still looks shitty, there must be something else going on (text smoothing options? *shrugs*).
Oh, and thanks for the link you provided me pages ago, about how to remove the 3d glass effect. I think my dock looks sexy now!
"decay" is the best theme if you're trying to make it transparent, i've found out. but it still looks like ass if you aren't using a dark wallpaper. even my midtone-grey one makes it look all funky. oh well!
Another question for all you XP users out there. How do you turn off the explorer bar? I can do the "hide" option but as soon as you mouse over it, its back up. Is it a registry hack you need to do?

Vista. I've cleaned the plugins folder, re-installed foobar like a million times, done everything I can think of. I have no idea what it's problem is.

I culled hundreds on uneeded things from my start menu, and uninstalled a bunch of stuff too. Feels so nice.
Docks are incredible and why did no one force me to get one ages ago?
