a lot of things for warlocks are pretty broken right now, so you can't really make a fair judgement even if you're in the beta
my unfair judgement:
Strangely, affliction is strangely pretty much exclusively a single target spec right now (ignoring the aoe drain life that is a talent), and I don't like it. It's really really wacky. Retuning the numbers on some of the spells might make some of spec make more sense, but I don't know what their plans are there.
To me it's really a hybrid between shadow priests and mages and we got the bad genes
Malferic grasp is really a cross between mind flay and mind blast
Blowing through shards and regenning them slowly out of combat is not fun

I was going to take a pot shot at certain vanilla fights, but while some of them were pretty goddamn bad, I wouldn't say any of them would be anywhere near bad as the fight you are describing sounds.

well, I didn't do twin emps in vanilla so I don't know about that one
chromaggus was pretty bad, but it didn't seem too bad to me. Maybe I'm remembering it differently since I was supposed to be healing more than dispelling that fight (everyone had to dispel, but I know some people had specific duties, and I think I was tank healing mostly?)
I don't really remember wiping to people turning into drakes though.

I joined a vanilla guild that had MC and BWL on farm and were working on Huhuran when I got there. I suppose I didn't consider the difficulty too bad when I'd just arrived and it was, "Wow, I'm actually raiding!"
As a paladin in those days I was mostly put in a tank-healing position. So Huhuran and then Twin Emps were fun fights to finally get down. Never got as far as C'thun.
So could anyone who wants to do that ICC25 this weekend post what time works for them? Ideally we would need at least 8 so I could do Blood Infusion but more is good so we could also do Val and LK heroics

You mentioned Sunday, which is probably ideal for me. I have book club plans for Friday. Saturday afternoon might be possible too, but I'm hoping to get some extra hours at work that day, so we'll see. I'd like to do a full heroic run so we should prepare to recruit a few puggers. We aren't going to need to fill all 25 spots or nuthin but going in with 12 to 14 people would make shit a lot easier.
