in the trailer there's a line where he says "don't you wonder why there's accidents but no crime?" or something like that, which makes it seem like something creepy/horror is going on. and some of the reviews mention horror comedy, but no one will say what! it's like a twist or something it seems like.
I'll watch it because I want to give money to those two fog-breathers because of how much I like Shaun of the Dead. I'm willing to bet there will be moments that will make me giggle and I'm not going to see it expecting genius.
Well, they did it. The trio (Edgar Wright, Nick Frost and Simon Pegg) managed to beat the gut busting cult classic "Shaun of the Dead", a task of which I once thought was impossible. It has more witty one liners not to mention a hilarious and shocking twist at the end
The plot is basically what the trailer advertises, in London a talented cop (Simon Pegg) is sent to a small village by jealous colleagues to pair up with a dim witted police officer with no experience. After the bodies begin to pile up, the duo discover that the small, sleepy England town may not be as innocent as it seems.
In my opinion, "Hot Fuzz" is the first truly great film of 2007. It's filled with laughs, action and includes a few scenes of necessary gore. It grabs the audience at the beginning of the film and doesn't let go until the credits start rolling, and seems a lot short than than the 120 minutes its advertised as.

Probably about 20 minutes too long, but the over the top gunfights make up for it..

It would make sense it's three genres, like shaun of the dead, which was a romcomzom.
It also has an old woman being full on kicked in the face.
Very much worth watching for anyone, but a lot of the comedy is lost if you aren't familiar with British culture.
It's like limeys trying to do retard American comedy.
