Asthmatics... breathe!

So, been sucking on one of those inhalers for years. Probably explains the bitch tits.

Good old blue ventolin was great.
Then they changed it to an all-white model, which was OK, but not as good as the classic.

So I go to Walgreens.
"Sorry, Squashua. They banned CFCs; they were bad for you anyway. Here's your new asthma spray. Same medicine, new delivery system".

It's a half-sized RED asthma spray with a white cap. ProAir.

No CFCs.

And it tastes (yes, you do taste asthma sprays and Advair Diskus is DELICIOUSLY SWEET!) blech.

And the delivery is lacking; it's just not there. Gotta put more effort into inhaling when I spray. Of course, the whole point is that I can't breathe and therefore can't inhale, but whatever.

Fuck the ozone layer, I want my CFC asthma spray.

Any other mouthbreathers out there dealing with similar?

    i don't really have asthma attacks any more

    mostly having asthma just means smoking is going to kill me a lot quicker than it normally would

    I used to use inhalers every single day until I started using Advair. It's been about 2 years and I can count on ONE hand how many times I've used an inhaler since. It is wonderful stuff.

    My brother has asthma and many allergies, but I'm not sure what (if) he uses anything.

    I don't have that problem. I once breathed in so hard I sped up the earth's orbit.

    Friend of mine used to have an absolutely massive inhaler. he had to put it together like it was a sniper rifle. Kind of looked like a rifle as well.

    One time I was playing soccer as a kid, and I slipped on some ice, and landed right on my back.

    So I was on the snow, and it was really really cold, and I couldn't breathe for about 30 seconds. It sucked.

    No. it wasn't one of them fancy inhalers. It just looked like a large gun. A large blue plastic gun.

    I still have a few full sized ones left. When ever I refill them I get like 3 because my insurance pays for all of it.

    I have asthma, but I haven't used an inhaler in a while. I use a combination of Advair for my asthma and Zyrtec for my allergies, and that seems to keep everything under control pretty well. For when things do get serious and I'm away from home, I keep an albuterol inhaler in my car, but I don't even remember the last time I used it (it's probably expired at this point). If it gets bad at home, I use a nebulizer and mix my own abuterol/saline solution for it. It generally works much better for serious attacks than an inhaler anyway, even if it takes a little longer.

    There was no point to telling you all that, but screw it, I got started and couldn't stop.

    I do remember using the old blue/gray albuterol inhalers when I was younger though, and I'm not gonna lie, I was addicted to those things. There were times when I'd literally have withdrawal symptoms if I went more than a few hours without using it - it was like crack. I'm not sure how dangerous they really are, but one thing I do remember is that I once took ten puffs in one dose. My whole body shook and I felt like my heart was going to explode from beating so fast. So yeah, if they say it's dangerous, I'd believe them. It took me a LONG time to wean myself off of those things.

    I think I had one kind of like that. I didn't have to assemble it, but I did have to pull out different compartments and stuff to make it functional. To be honest, it was kind of like a transformer.

    When I was a little kid a friend of mine used to have these horrible asthma attacks. Her parents, however, thought she was just a hypochondriac. They refused to believe that she had asthma. Then one night she almost died. That convinced her parents.
