Wherein awesome things that an be done with games can be discussed.
This was something that was pretty small and limited to actual cheats (playing around with the debug in Sonic 1 and stuff in the old days) but now it's a big thing and it's
awesome. I guess it's mainly down to the complexity of games - you can have so much fun with just the physics engines of a lot of games you can sit for hours. I really need to try Garry's Mod sometime, really.
My latest obsession in this sense is Crackdown. The very nature of the game makes it a "make your own fun" game, but I've started to get a particular obsession with creating huge explosions. I find a large pile of explosive barrels, pile in a few cars and then start killing people and putting them on my giant un-lit bonfire. I spent about half an hour just doing that for one explosion yesterday - then I threw in a few grenades and watched the physics send all the debris flying. It was great fun.
I used to really enjoy glitching - in OOT I used to use the crooked cartridge cheat a lot to try to find hidden areas or generally make the game do weird stuff. I also loved messing around in the beta quest. I did eventually destroy my cart this way, though. I have a new copy, though.
Finally, an obsession of mine a while back - Halo physics. Specifically, Warthog jumping. For those who don't know about this, this video says it all:

Does anybody else have any fun things to share that you do in games to prolong the length or just generally to squeeze a bit of extra fun out of them? I'm interested to hear any suggestions of stuff to do on anything - I'm running out of stuff to do.
