Bean's Quest has very distasteful racist undertones.

I find it unbelievable that in the year 2012, developers are encouraged to profiteer by exploiting racial stereotypes. This type of product desensitizes people against Latinos, encourages young people to use racial slurs against them, and further alienates progressive Hispanics who wish to partake in our gaming culture. If someone made a game about characters in blackface and called it a racial slur as it's main title, everyone would be up in arms about it, but nobody is saying anything about this blatantly exploitative racist game that mocks Latin culture and pretty much uses a racial slur as it's title. I find it embarrassing that Kumobius even has spot at Pax to push sales for this nauseating title. Shame on them, and shame on anyone who supports to this type of garbage on this day and age!

I'm confused, isn't the Bean in Bean's Quest a jumping bean? It would seem to me like that putting the word Bean in a game about a Bean would be a fairly normal thing to do. Am I missing something?

just because it is a bean in a sombrero does NOT make this offensive. beans are pretty common in mexican dishes, clearly this is not a racially charged game. it's a simply platformer with a mexican theme to it. if anything, you should be happy these settings are being used (and that the main character is mexican, even if he is a bean).

watch this and tell me the game is offensive.
