The only character in P3 or P4 I could have seen myself dating in high school is Mitsuru. Of course, if P4 had let me date Kanji, that would have made two people I would have dated.

I love Yuko's personality, but I would've more likely run into people like Chihiro.
I think Yu and Yukiko(zing) make the best couple, aesthetically speaking.
Both are quiet, family oriented, like cooking, and probably closet freaks, yeah I'd think that work.
I like one of the villains much much more. I've never liked P4's villains, now one is more believable.
Massive fucking spoilers
No seriously, go away
The murderer is more believable. His new dialog, from the S.Links to when you get the scooter, paint him as an absolute slug of a man who shuns life, responsibility and reality itself. As if he thinks everyone being Shadows is better because having to eat food and drink water is too much work.
The true final boss is still ridiculous. A Truth Lazor? Realllly?

More big spoilers:
I kept putting off adachi and Marie as far as social links go, and didn't get very far in either. Maybe I'll start that second playthrough sooner than I planned.
Had about 15 minutes to play this morning so I started the Rise shadow fight. I uh...was late for work :?
Does Teddie end up filling out again? Because wacky waving inflatable arm-flailing Teddie is visually irritating.
In more ways than one.
OK, wtf just happened?
Does he ever get back into the suit? Because I much prefer him in chibi bear form.
Hahaha :P
He mixes it up between the two, though in battle he rocks the bear suit (unless there are some costumes where he's out of it, which is highly possible).
Generally the extent to which one is a good character is measured by that character's believability as a person. So I'm not sure that's the best phrasing, Magic.

I've suffered through plenty of King Morons in my time.
Majority of them were women. No, that didn't make things better.
Why would that have made it better? Why do you think anyone else would think that?
You have to understand that ol' Snuggles is very, very sexist and very, very creepy, and he constantly makes posts like that where he's subconsciously sexist and dismissive of women all the time
so yeah
there's really no point in engaging him on any higher level before he accuse you of...whatever it is he accuses other people who out his creepy, sexist posts so he can continue his campaign of victimization and self-pity some more
Huh, did they increase the number of days Naoto's S Link is available? It would make sense considering the additions; looking at the Bike skills I've apparently missed out on getting more than 4 for most of the team :P
Naoto's moveset really got a massive buff though - all 8 attack types, Mind Charge and Heat Riser? Dang.
 That..sounds like a lot of skills.
Do you get to choose which old skills get replaced when your party members learn new ones or does the game still decide for you?

You get to choose, and you can relearn forgotten ones (though that takes an additional scooter trip). I guess I'll be using her as Yukiko doesn't learn Mind Charge until your fifth bike trip and I'm past the cutoff for that
Basically you should hit them all up early on, they start on August 26th at the gas station in the Shopping District. The dates for all the party members (obviously contains game length spoilers):

Not only do you have full control over what they do or don't inherit, you can also respec them with past or future skills if you go on a bike ride with that respective character.
Edit: oh, so the future stuff is skills they wouldn't learn otherwise? I didn't even notice that.

Which is good, because the new S.Link rewards throw a shitload of spells at your investigation team members.

You always got to choose in Persona 4.
Really?
God damn, for a game that is supposedly one of my all-time favorites and one that I've basically played once a year since I bought it, I sure don't know much about it, apparently.
Maybe it's set up so you can't choose if you have them set to auto? Apparently their Follow-Up Attacks are like that so maybe that is too? That could be why.

Auto as in "not being able to control what they do in battle"? Nah, I always manually control my party members.
But then again, there really wasn't much of a choice there in P4, party members only learned, like, 12 skills or so and most of them were direct upgrades. Why would you wanna let Chie keep Bufu and Bufula anyway?

Is Bufu not worth keeping as an SP-cheap weakness hitter?

I'd say no, especially in Golden. You simply have too many spells thrown at you to warrant having two spells that do the same thing at different intensities.
In Persona 4 there's no real reason not to leave Bufu(la) on Chie for weaknesses, especially since there are enough enemies that null or reflect Physical toward the end of the game to make it worthwhile (I think there are even ones that null or reflect both Phys and Ice which really sucks for her haha). I don't know what she picks up in P4G but it's probably still true.
But she never gets armsmaster (half hp cost for physical?), meaning she has to be healed almost every turn if you're using the big hitting skills. Also, her ultimate final buff skill uses up half her SP. So her kit doesn't seem entirely complete.
Right, I don't think anyone's advocating completely removing ice skills from her, the question was more slanted towards whether it was worthwhile to keep both Bufu and Bufula at the same time.

She can eventually get Bufudyne in P4G via Bike skills

Yeah, that's what I meant.
I kept her in my party because I always tend to stick with the first party members you get in RPGs but she definitely was my weakest link.
I'm not that big a fan of physical attacks anyway, a skill using up like 80 out of 400 HP when enemies can potentially deal loads of damage to you in one turn is pretty scare to me.

More big spoilers:
It seems a lot more generic and girlish. New Chie just seems more like a natural fit for the character.
That's my main problem with it; it turns her into a character rather then a believable girl, and an annoying character at that.
Why would that have made it better? Why do you think anyone else would think that?
OK, wtf just happened?
Hahaha :P
Black Frost's replacement, y'all already know:
I find new Chie to be a more believable girl than old, and don't find her annoying at all.

(Late game spoilers)
And again, armsmaster which you can easily get on say Futsunushi cuts the hp cost in half, at least for you.
Do you get a new cycle? Or is it a total GO?
