To the enforcer who was watching the second set of glass doors to the expo hall before they opened on friday, I hope the rest of your weekend was less hectic. I was the commissar who tried to help out a little there with all the people trying to sneak in. I might join up next year. Definitely will if I can talk them into letting me enforce in costume (come on, its what commissars for - morale management and heresy prevention), but I might regardless.
ps: Maybe that should be evaluated for next year. During the period of time where the queue is going in the main doors, some people were coming out the secondary doors and other people kept trying to get in while the door was open. It was like the most frustrating game of Tapper I've ever seen, and some people were assuming the small Asian girl would be a pushover. You know who you are, and you're assholes.

Need to keep the front and back of your Enforcer shirt visible.
edit: But you can certainly work that around a costume. One of the Enforcers (Meathshield) back in '10 worked in full plate armor. He just got a 3 or 4XL shirt and wore it over the armor.

Ditching my cloak will suck, but I can handle that.
I heart the red haired enforcer who helped me play Soul Caliber 5 in the Free Play room. I rarely have the opportunity to mess with consoles anymore and I had no idea if my controller was broken or I was just clueless.
Leaving the Curse party early, I and my girlfriend found a kid in the lobby of the Seaport with a PAX badge that looked... well, he was a troubled kid. He had been locked out of his hotel room, with his ID in the room, and his phone was dead. He didn't know any phone numbers he could call, and had no idea what to do. He thought he was just going to be stuck there all night. Me and my girlfriend convinced him that he should come back to PAX with us, and that we'd get him charged up, either at BYOC since we were certain Big Red would make it happen somehow, (which we both were in, but he wasn't) or at the Info desk.
Whoever you were at the Info desk that took his IPhone and plugged it in, I'm sure you made that kid's life much easier, and I hope he found his brother. I didn't stick around at that point, since the issue was being handled- but it was really nice to see that when I told the kid "Any time something like this happens, find an Enforcer. They'll make it better, one way or another." that I wasn't lying. I knew I wasn't, but the kid was damned skeptical up until that point.

First year not Enforcing myself, but I just want to give a shout out to the first day queue Enforcer who knew I was going as Harry Dresden. Never realized there would be so many people going in dusters and broad hats just as their normal garb
andrew in BYOC, thank you for the escort! dealing w/ the 'secret stuff' that goes on there is always a little stressful, making sure everything gets where it needs to go and everything. you let me and my friend take our time and get everything we need, and get to visit w/ the person we came to see. in past years I've been ushered in an out so quickly I wasn't even sure I remembered to leave what I came to leave. so thank you!! and thanks for letting us peep at the cool cases on our way out!

Plaid Lad was the most helpful Enforcer ever.
there were a few others that helped me out a lot, sadly I dont remember the names.
If you helped me out during the Epic Games shirt giving out line.. thank you
Would love to thank the enforcers for keeping the peace in the MASSIVE Borderlands 2 line..
Thanks for being understanding, if I remember that face from the avatar, were you there saturday morning when it exploded and we closed it off?
Oh good lord, that was a mess and a half. Good on you Expo guys for not flipping your shit :P
Nah, it's why I love PAX. Generally people are understanding and try to help us out by staying controlled as well. Not like my night job as a bouncer when I have drunk college kids trying to force 3-4 wide through a door with only one person (me) checking ids.
Every Enforcer I interacted with was great, but there was one who stood out. She was handing out the mike for the Q&A during the Transmedia panel. I stood up to ask a question, which is the first time I've ever gotten up the courage to do so. I have a tremor that gets worse when I'm nervous and I'm sure I looked a mess between the blushing and the shaking. After I asked my question she quietly said 'good job'...I'm really not sure if she noticed how anxious I was or just liked the question, but it made me feel much better. She was wearing cat ears and a collar...whoever you are, thanks so much!
That sounds like Kitt. She's awesome like that.
Your very welcome and I really liked your question seeing the fans at PAX East kinda overwhelmed me at first but I loved being an enforcer!!!!! Everyone was so nice, and made my job that much easier! And thanks for the thanks!... It lets me know how much I actually helped people and made a difference I<3PAXers
Did I look as terrified as I felt? I don't think I took a breath the entire time.
Can I ask where you got your cat ears? I noticed they seemed like they were maybe made out of leather and I really liked them.
i got them as a present a few weeks before PAX East for my birthday and their made of hard plastic and no you didn't look terrified at all! but i would be the same way! (sorry this is coming almost 8 months after the fact lol
