Hi all! I'm excited for my first time going to PAX! I'm not entirely sure where I'm allowed and where I'm not allowed to post. So this is me saying to the world that I hope to have a good first experience there!
I'm from Palmdale, California. It's a couple hours north of L.A. in the Mojave Desert. I have yet to figure out all the details necessary for this trip, so I will be constantly reading up as much as I can on these forums to make sure that I don't miss anything.
If you're on route I highly suggest the paxtrain as your travel method, costs about the same as flying but infinitely more fun
As for a fun fact about Whittier, CA: aside from all the people I told about pax, I don't think anyone else in this city even knows it exists
People were added to: AR, AL, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MD, MN, MO, NJ, OR, TX, UT, WA, Alberta, British Columbia, Australia, and Perú
For checking in your area: If people are in the same city they sometimes get put on top of one another. Click on your own placemark and see if there is a "1 of X" with an arrow in the bottom right corner of the popup. This means there is more than one placemark on top of each other in that spot. Click the arrow to cycle through them.

So if you want to see where I actually live in Myrtle Beach, Follow 501 north to the Riveside golf course. That's my new home. Pretty freaking awesome.
- Biting's excellent! It's like kissing. Only there's a winner.
Pax Attendee/Enforcer:
Prime - '11 Attendee, '12 Enforcer, '13 Enforcer
East - '12 Attendee, '15 Enforcer
Map now exists: http://batchgeo.com/map/PAXPrime2012 There are still few enough placemarks that each one has a letter :P this will go away once we eclipse 26 I'm fairly certain (it did for the East map).
Things that I added for this map that weren't there before:
1) there's now an icon when you click on someone's placemark that is associated with their chosen means of travel
2) there's now a calculated straight line distance from PAX Prime in each placemark
@japerry: you got your lat/long backwards I fixed it for you.

I know this is dumb but how do you add yourself to the map?

S'awesome.
I'll either ignore him or put in his details later.
