I see we're having the sex talk again. So soon from the last one.
Don't get me fucking started. Ganassa submitted and was featured in the Summoner Showcase a while back. I don't recall Nikasaur acting weird or being offended.
Maybe guys should be up in arms over the ridiculously over-masculine male champs. People need to get over this false 'objectification' bullshit. It's the same-old "reading too much into it" that people always do.
over-masculine? I'm not actually sure about that. These guys are seasoned warriors, people who fight and train day in and day out, it makes sense that they would look the way they do. It even kind of makes sense for Trynd or Lee Sin to not wear armour, considering their archetypes and our collective view of them. Maybe not Malz or Kassadin though, not sure why they are super ripped.

Oh god, I got into a discussion about how women in comics portray an unrealistic idealization of the female body. I was like "HAVE YOU SEEN THE FUCKING GUYS IN COMICS?"
Trinity Force and Ezreal have a very special relationship tied closely to your team composition and the state of the game.
If you have a damage heavy team that has very little they can do to peel for you then you can grab trinity force and be a more independent operator, allowing your team to use their CC more offensively since they don't have to worry about protecting you. Its mix of stats keeps Ezreal alive and mobile, over time contributing damage to a fight by not getting caught and dropping quickly.
If your team requires more carry power and has the CC to peel for you then need to go for a more hard hitting auto-attack oriented build.
I was gonna ask you about this and now I don't have to.
Also, Ahri vs Swain match up is rough on Ahri right? Or am I just bad? (these things are not mutually exclusive)
Bunny Girl riven just seemed so unnecessary and pointless.
The community asked for it. Riot gave it.
yeah.....
My point being, the community essentially said "Riot we want to throw money at you, let us throw money at you" so Riot gave them the opportunity to do so. Good business is taking advantage of stuff like that. Or greed. Or both?
I don't fault Riot for making a buck. Its just a sad sexualization of a champion that was originally rather admirable in her design.
I don't get the issue (I am not saying you opinion isn't valid). Its not the default skin. However if we ignore that and just focus on the fact that you can see it in game along with a lot of other 'sexualized' characters. The skins are non canon.
My personal opinion is that I don't see it as an issue. I am curious as to why its an issue to you. why people form opinions of different area's interest me especially on such a polarizing topic. (if you're prefer to PM me why, thats ok to.)
Its not a matter of lore.
Ok, but in your opinion why is it wrong to have these video game character portrayed in this way? I am genuinely interested. I have the opposite view but I always enjoy hearing the other side. The purpose is not to argue with you, but to learn.
Why is it wrong to portray female characters in a needlessly sexual way? I think that ones pretty clear.
It isn't clear to me, as I don't see it as an issue, I just wanted your or anyone else input on it to see why its such a big deal. I am curious if its a cultural thing or something else entirely. Its no big deal, if you don't want to type out a length argument as to why. I just figured I'd ask why and go from there.
Can I ask where you're from?
Sure, Born in South Africa, did my lower and middle schooling there. Spent a year and a half in the American School system (Texas if that changes anything). I then moved to England and did the upper half of my schooling there including my degree. I now live in USA.
Its probably cultural thing then. The whole corset and bunny ears thing has very sexual connotations in the US and its irksome to see a nonsexual female character stuck in that costume for no reason other than rather sexist community wants.
Fair, I understand the corset and bunny (play boy) thing that went on. I guess I havn't quite phrased my question correctly: Why is making sexy character art/models wrong?

It's more that nearly every female is a young woman with an hourglass figure, while the males have almost all of the non-human characters, Zileas, Swain, Ezreal, Urgot, Heimerdinger, Vlad, etc., not that Pantheon, Tryndamere, Miss Fortune, and Evelynn exist.

Its not. I've got no problem with champions like MF. What bugs me is when nonsexual characters then get rather gratuitous "sexy" skins. Riven is this rather cool strong female character who runs around and smashes things with her sword. Its pretty lame to then dress her up like a soft core porn star. Same with vayne and her boob job.

In a vacuum?
Nothing.
In a game wherein the point of the game is not sex, but rather combat? It is a bit confusing.
In a game whose focus is not sex, that was released in a culture that has a precedent of objectifying the female form, and where female rights and female sexuality is very much a contentious issue? Well now you are getting into sort of bad territory here.
But, this is not the point of the thread, and if you wanna talk about it you can PM me, or just do some google-searching for more eloquent explorations of the issue of female sexuality in video games (and also in comics, where most of the current debate is. Check out DC's recent starfire debacle, and the volumes written about it)
I will agree that bunnygirl riven makes me a bit frustrated, as per Sammich
I'm so sorry about that last game guys, Verizon called me and wouldn't leave me alone because of a long story, but anyways I was on the phone and I was trying so hard, and I'm sorry I was bad. :C
Is anyone streaming Painhouse, given that there's spectator mode now? I can't spectate from here, sadly.
Yes, we usually have people to cast. Delphin wants to, I know, which probably means Miniwolf. If we have enough players, I'll cast things, albeit very badly.
When spectating I seem to have a 50% chance to have the game window outside of my screen so I only see the top left quarter. Quitting and re-spectating fixes it.

All I'm going on about is the part where you were trying to clarify a blanket statement. Never trust the client.
The tech behind it is irrelevant.
I missed your first post. Where you said it. I initially understood the conversation as a discussion as to what was going on. In future you may wish to word things slightly better, you came off as really rude and dismissive. Its only because I know you better that I wasn't thinking 'wow this guy is a total condescending and egotistical dick'
Then you don't know him at all. That fits him to a T.
all the Infidel
I was going to make this reply and then someone who knows me well posted immediately after. Works out nice and neat.
I am totally condescending when I am totally right. 8-)

throw in a randuin's to get the matrix effect
nothing good can come of extended conversation on this topic, so let's all just move on and talk about how stupid and annoying yorick/vayne is

But still has carrot sword and kicks ass, so not a huge problem.
Only if you're playing against it I'd imagine. When you're the Yorick/Vayne it's tons of fun.
I once managed to get three fully charged bloodthirsters on Shyvana. That was a fun Summoner's Rift.
Demonblade Trynd is where it is at. So good.
Fuck that, I want a rocket knight champion. Q and E dash left and right, W straight ahead, R explodes. Level up passive modifiers to jetpack.
Oh, and Talith signed up for captain too, so he is now also awesome.

I heard there's a new Nidalee skin coming out, and it's super controversial.
Quick, call PETA! Instead of spears, she chucks cats!
Yelling at butts will never NOT be funny. Thanks, Psy!
Also, Abby is awesome. Keep up with TLH because it's the tits!
I love League of Legends, but seriously...screw you, Teemo.
