Hey everybody! This is my first year, and I'm really looking forward to it! My roomie Sageheart introduced me to PAX, and I wanted to throw up a couple of buttons.

    This one's for the ladies:

Well I've had the designs for a long time (thanks @yamara <3) but I've been slacking hardcore on getting them ordered. Finally took care of that today.

    Main button (1.5"):
    1343341303-overlord_evil.PNG

Bonus button (2.25") also known as the "Snifit Prize".... those in IRC will know exactly what this is all about:
    1343341532-snifit_kicking.PNG

Edit: oh yeah, and I'll likely bring a handful of my buttons from last year as well (the pony and the overlord) since I have maybe 25 of each left.

I suppose this means I'm going to have to wear ass-pads for the duration of PAX.

They recommend to get them in before August 6th, otherwise you might not get them in time.

Also, just put in my order for my two button designs, thanks to Knight for working on them for me! =D

So many buttons so little time! I love all of the buttons especially Big Red's button which for two years running have been the pride of my shadow boxes. A picture from last years is attached.

I have been so busy I am late to the game this year. Just ordered my buttons. As you can see I have a thing for Bioshock.

I'm always sad when I see people's button collections and mine's not in there. So very sad!

Edit: Actually, my rainbow dash button is in that one, so it's ok.

    Me too.
I remember showing Big Red my button scarf from two years ago and hearing, something close to the tone of betrayal, at me not having his button.

Buttoneering thread, you must help me decide. The lighter one was the first one, but right as I was going to order it, I was wondering if it'd print better with a bit more contrast...

I've honestly been looking at this button for 2 months now, so I can't tell anymore. Halp!

I prefer the contrasted one, looks like there's more "depth" (?) xD but yea, the darker one stands out more :3

THERE'S ONLY ABOUT A WEEK LEFT!

Unofficial deadline is next week. If you order your buttons any time after that and don't get them in time, all we can do is say "told ya so".

Also, official meetup this year has changed in order to make it easier for more people to attend! I believe we decided on Saturday morning, before the expo hall opens, in the big area in front of the juice bar (this very well may change based on the map and schedule so stay tuned once those are released). Be there for our picture this year, and to do a mass exchange.

Drop off your buttons with me at the BYOC desk (there will likely be a bucket in case I'm not there or I'm busy) for the yearly not-so-secret "Button Board" gift for Mike and Jerry. Deadline TBD once the schedule is out.

I need to put this info in the OP, but I'll do that later. For now, spread it amongst yourselves in hushed whispers as the anticipation of the event rises.

I thought we were gonna do Saturday morning.
I know most of the ladies will miss it if it's Sunday morning because of our Brunch.

We should actually do it both Saturday and Sunday (like the trading cards for east, which actually did a meetup all 3 days) so that many can make it even with conflicting schedules.

I enjoyed it happening right at PAX closing... it will be difficult for me to get to said meetups before opening. Unless you mean its like 1h before openings then I should be able to do that.

Working on my buttons now; I hope to get them ordered in the next day or so. Though looking at everyone else's, I'm a bit intimidated (but quite impressed!)

If I meet and get everyone's button Saturday morning, what am I going to do Saturday and Sunday?? :(

But seriously, it would be less fun of a thing if I traded all my buttons after only a day of convention. Keeping an eye open and shouting at strangers all weekend is the best part for me.

I'm good with this, as long as we try to get as many people as possible together for the Saturday morning one so we can get a good photo. I think it's our best shot at getting the largest number of people together. Personally, I can't ever do the Sunday after-PAX one due to BYOC checkout.

Maybe it can be a no-trading meetup? ;-)

I would like a Saturday morning meetup as well. Hubby and I have to leave a bit early to catch our train back home that night. (Might I suggest that only main buttons be traded so the bonus buttons will be the challenge for the day?)

And just a note, we ordered our buttons last night and I got an email today saying they would be ready for shipping on the 8th.
