This question may have been asked earlier in the thread + I missed, so I apologise if it's a dup; is 100 really enough buttons? I feel like I came up short a bit last year, so want to plan accordingly.
In other, related, procrastinate-y news, I've got my bonus button designs figured out, but not my main button.
100 you will run out but you'll probably make it until the post-PAX meet (just barely, unless you've been under/overperforming), 150 usually you'll have some left over or be able to run out after a bit of the post-meet.

You know, I STILL have no idea what the heck to do for a button design! Last year I did this button, and I still have extras. I'm not sure what I'll do for this year.
Main button design almost done!
But I'm hoping there's someone out there who knows GIMP better than I do and can polish the thing up.
I am baking cookies soon...
OP updated with meetup info, and a guilt trippier subject line!
We're getting really close to the "responsible" deadline for ordering your buttons. PureButtons is advertising a current processing time of 7-10 *business* days, which is 1.5-2 weeks. Add a conservative five business days for shipping (another week), and assuming you don't want them delivered as you're leaving to travel to Seattle, you should probably get the in by next week at the latest (3.5 weeks before PAX).
Now, of course, YMMV and many people have gotten them far faster than two weeks. Additionally, PureButtons has said they will put a priority on orders with the discount code. So, if you're running late, all hope is not lost. However, you really *should* get them in by next week to be reasonably sure you get them on time.

One other thing I'll add to that for crafty/DIY Seattle locals or peeps coming in a little early there's a place in Georgetown (just south of Seattle) that rents button machines by the day, if you want to print/draw/whatever your own and put them together. I bought my machine from them a few years ago + they're friendly folk.
Drop off your buttons with me at the BYOC desk (there will likely be a bucket in case I'm not there or I'm busy) for the yearly not-so-secret "Button Board" gift for Mike and Jerry. Deadline TBD once the schedule is out.
\
I am bringing the bucket and the board. Deadline for dropping off your button in the bucket is midnight Saturday night, as I will take them to my hotel room and pin them up before I go to sleep.
You MUST put your button in the bucket to have it show up on the board. Don't give me an extra one, don't give JonXP an extra one, put it in the bucket. Thank you. (this does not apply to BigRed as his button is bigger than the bucket, I will get an extra from him when I trade my regular buttons with him)
So one most call so maybe a few more people might see it, can anyone help me refine my button? I've got most of the elements in place, I just don't know GIMP well enough to make it look awesome.

Uh, depends what you're looking for? Though, I dunno if Photoshop can open GIMP files...

I've had my buttons for a while, but I never posted a picture! So here they are. I'm feeling like mine are kind of lame compared to everyone else's, hahaha.
Drat, I just noticed people are just editing last years buttons to say they're handing them out this year. It would be far better if you were to upload a new copy of the old button, because otherwise it takes it out of people's collections from previous years. I'm going to take out the ability to edit the event a button is for (for now) until I get a real solution in place (which would be to allow a button to exist in more than one event).

I've changed my mind about my badges - I've used my avatar before, so I'm now doing something else instead. I've also ordered LewieP's Daddy's badged - they are of his avatar. I'm at LewieP's right now (I'm volunteeribg at the Olympics) and using my phone to post, so pics will have to wait. Suffice to say they are red and shiny and a bit scary!

The button should just be duped, since otherwise it isn't clear which year I collected (or if I collected it both years?) a repeat. AKA leave it as-is but maybe stop editing/removal of past events' buttons?
I went with a BF3 theme this year. One is a tribute to the King of Sweden and the other is a tribute to all the assholes that like to plant C4 on their jeeps and jihad into tanks.
Uggg... I'm working on mine. Since I'm not a regular poster, I guess it's not as important. But I've got a couple of ideas and I'm spending a couple of hours today putting them together. Thankfully, the button folks have a great turn-around time!

Good point. The short term plan already is to remove the ability to change the event a button is for (which is the same as preventing the removal of past event buttons), and I guess the long term plan is to just have an easy way for people to dupe old buttons for a new event.

I recently got a PAX pass! Without much time left I decided to do buttons again this year. After TF2 last year I went with a Mass Effect theme this year.
I ordered 150 and I'll have some of last years with me to give out.

So last year at PAX prime, there was this really awesome guy in a really awesome red hat who was buttoneering. He gave me his combustible lemons warning placard button and told me that this year, I needed to find him and tell him what awesome thing I did to earn that button. Well, unfortunately, I will be unable to attend PAX this year as I am currently stationed at Camp Casey, South Korea until next year. However, I was hoping that maybe the really awesome guy with the red hat would be perusing the forums, since its about that time, and was hoping that maybe he'd find out that I've been spreading the word of PAX to many of the locals here and several of them are going to try and go to PAX next year. I've also been teaching a lot of the ROK Army members English so that a lot of them can accomplish some of the stuff they want to do, like go to the US to teach literature and foreign language at the college level.
So anyway, I don't know if that makes me combustible lemon worthy or not, but thats what is currently going on, and with a little bit of luck, maybe the really awesome guy with the red hat will read this... or... maybe someone will see him at PAX Prime and share this with him!

AHowell is bouncing around the different folks at the buttoneering meet up last year. I'd made my rounds a few times, when she finally got to me. "Hey, um, what can I trade you for your copy of the combustible lemons button?" I sort of hem and haw, I had gotten mine early, and Red had just come out saying all of his were gone.
I decline at first, because I am a rude like that. A look of despair falls across her face. "Oh, okay, thanks." Time slows down, "Pez" I think to myself, "that was rude."
"I know" I say to myself, "but come on, it is a pretty sweet button."
"True, but to you it's just a large piece of metal you are hoarding to complete a checklist. Can you imagine what it might mean to her?"
"Not really..." I say, doubt creeping into my mental voice like a top 40 hit.
"Have you ever seen anyone else offering to trade other buttons away to get one? Seems like it'd be real important for someone to make such a deal" Myself says to me. I ponder that for a second, only for myself to mentally whap me upside the head.
"Fine, you made your point me." I talk to myself alot like that, look at the nickname, it's all right there.
So I called her back and made the above deal; that earning this button now was a down payment of similar RAoK being done to others. It seemed to be in the spirit of PAX. Also, I love a good RAoK at PAX.
AHowell - that is awesome to hear. Glad to see you're doing well and you're doing good things. I know I shouldn't be surprised by it, that most people are good, but it warms my dark Pezzy heart when people do things like your'e doing. Next year, Pax Prime 2013, then, stories all around. And if you want some buttons this year, I'll try and see what I can get for ya...
