Just got these new screens. I think he's going to be a fun character to use. Heck, his wrecking ball tow-truck/chopper/airboat has me sold-- Ralph himself is just icing.

I wish they had Vanellope along with Ralph. Makes sense in the context of the movie.
Yeah, that's kind of what I felt after watching the movie. I also felt Ralph showing up in a kart racing game made far more sense after seeing it. FUTURE DLC!
The soundtrack to this game is even better than Sonic Generation's soundtrack. Some of the remixes, like the burning rangers or panzer dragoon or the afterburner remixes are incredible.
EDIT: although there are a few tracks I don't like, like the Magical Sound Shower dubstep remix.
the best part of the panzer dragoon music isn't on youtube, though. It's a remix of the theme from the intro video for the first panzer dragoon done in a drum and bass beat. It's fucking awesome.
So much for my plans of uploading a video on Day 1 of the EU release, because all I'll end up recording right at this moment is a rant regarding how useless the postal service is. Dispatched on Tuesday + 2 working days = not turning up on the release date?
Needless to say, I am pissed off.

Does the game support online play? (from what I've read only pc and wiiU have online? Or am I wrong)
I guess they specifically announced online play for PC because the PC version of the first game didn't have it. Pretty sure all the versions have online multiplayer.

It does. The PC version is the definitive version, much like Sonic Generations, because it also runs at 60 fps compared to the 30 fps that console versions run at. Beyond that, and graphical tweaks, there is feature parity among all versions of the game (barring 3DS, possibly).
Heads up for any Wii U folk: There's a bug where the boost challenges don't seem to spawn checkpoints. It makes things hard as balls, or possibly literally impossible. So, yeah. Watch out for that.
So sega is serious about DLC for this game and is allowing fans to choose who gets included as DLC. There is a poll on Sega's blog right now with a pretty comprehensive list of commonly requested characters. In addition, they're open to petitions about specific characters not included. Here is one such petition for Ryo Hazuki:
Every petition with over 1000 signatures will be considered. Sega is planning to announce 3 DLC characters at a time, chosen from these polls and petitions.
EDIT: At the moment, across various polls and petitions, Segata Sanshiro by far has the most demand.
WiiU version has a gamebreaking bug in the mission mode, you can't get past the boost challenge in the first cup since the checkpoints don't spawn.
Is this just Wii U or all versions? Might have to back out of keeping it on my Amazon wish list.
Looks like it's just Wii U, but I'm betting a patch is on the way, and until then, you can just try three times on easy. It'll let you skip, and then you can move on and come back after they patch it.

Yep! Revealed back at E3. She's racing a S&ASRT-themed car, and appears in the game. And helps promote via comics, commercials...

This game is AWESOME. well worth the $40.

Game looks great, runs smooth, load times are pretty good on it.
