Unfortunately, we will not be able to push balance changes today. We will try to get them out as soon as possible.
But as a short preview of the planned changes, I can say we will be buffing a few powers including Shockwave, Lift Grenade, Marksman, and Adrenaline Rush.

It seems weird that when Cerberus troopers lob a grenade with precision accuracy right next to where you are sitting, and it goes off, you are instantly dead, but your own grenades can't destroy wet tissue paper
like the problem with human soldier certainly isn't frag grenades, inferno grenade is practically broken, cluster grenades make the drell adept a death engine, sticky grenades ruin armored targets
yeah, lift grenades are the only ones that I would say aren't any good
I am not a huge fan of sticky grenades (although the proximity trap upgrade apparently makes them much better), but inferno and cluster grenades are fantastic
I feel like soldiers should be able to carry three guns
And have unlimited grenades (cooldown necessary)
And even then, I'm not sure I would play one
soldiers should definitely have way more base weight allowance at the very least.

I bet somebody could math out whether you get more damage from a third grenade or two more powerful grenades
If you think any grenade but lift is bad you are bad at grenade.

Right but batarian is the most fun to play soldier for sure, so clearly making soldiers have rad powers is good for fun gameplay

If they could make the active powers as useful and fun as the rest of the classes in the game, then I'd be down for that as well
Basically though I'm saying that other than batsent, I feel no urge to play any soldier class whatsoever because anything they can do another class can do better/faster/more efficiently

2. 100% armor/cover/wall penetration for a limited time, without necessarily needing the weapon mod
3. bring back explosive rounds, or for that matter
4. bring back ammo powers in general (especially passive squad bonuses, as in single player)

One only works if you're using an ammo consumable and the other only works on scrubs with no shields or armor, who die to a stiff breeze as it is

Even if dudes dodge roll against it or it only staggers them, everyone's so busy dodging and rolling that you can fire pretty unmolested and take out a lot of dudes
Problem is you could be an adept, cast throw just as fast, and kill them in one or two throws instead of just staggering them.

It can be really irritating or a non-issue depending on a bunch of things.
cluster grenades are the best grenades
reave and cluster and spec for speed and just run around the map taking all the grenades

Batarian is the exception that proves the rule
The other soldier active powers are underwhelming at best, and yes that includes carnage
krosent is superior to kroso in every way
inferno grenade is fantastic and frag grenade is decent
