As a kid I watched In Space and Lost Galaxy then never saw any series after that, the franchise falling from my memory before being considered lame to Teen Me.
And then I watched RPM and fell in love with the franchise all over again.
Like, at one point the Red Ranger is given a second sword and rather than dual-wield them he uses one of them as a hover board.
Yep, Vernon Wells was wonderful, and the Quantum Ranger kicked ass. That introduction scene where he taps his gun on his wrist is great.

It's Terminator Salvation (the concept) run by HAL with one of the rangers being a Kiwi putting on a Scottish accent.
The flashback episodes to before the disaster are incredible/isn't the normal MO for a Power Rangers show.
And they were able to craft this from a goofy Sentai with talking animal vehicles!

i don't watch many of the shows, but i love the sentai concept
i watched the "original" mighty morphin power rangers shows from the first one to the third one, i think, while in elementary school.
and i watched kamen rider kabuto and read kamen rider spirits while in college

which is one of the most popular ones and the sequel to the one i'm watching right now, Black
there's a lot of peeps doing subtitles for shows that will never be released here and it's really great, i'm hoping Black RX gets the treatment soon
the best one so far, out of the older shows is Sun Vulcan
Sun Vulcan is an early 80s sentai show and it is goddamn insane. there's a dog that learned to talk, they call a cheetah a panther, and in episode three an elephant monster screams at children to sing the japanese version of I've Been Working On The Railroad
but then my little brother was of age when wild force and ninja storm came out
those were fantastic

rpm gave go-onger so much shit
i guess samurai is back in continuity with the original run of shows but it also sucks ass and really just watch shinkenger
I went to one of those day or two early special viewings of that. Had a blast.
kamen rider fourze
it's basically a john hughes movie with monsters. kid shows up at school, promises to be friends with everyone, and then fights monsters
the best thing is, he's completely static. unlike W where the characters asking for help moved the plot along it's gen's insistence on making friends that does it. he's the plot device. he does not change at all. if the supporting cast wasn't so fucking great the show would be terrible but they are so it's not
yet I knew a kid who had the green ranger's dagger flute thing as a toy and I gotta say I contemplated some dark deeds

MMPR, the first season, was footage from a show about prehistoric warriors and the green ranger would die if he spent too much time outside a special room (which is why they started phasing tommy out in season 2: they were out of footage and needed to get him out so they could insert footage from ANOTHER series)
carranger (turbo) is goofy as shit and the rangers teach traffic safety
go-onger is also goofy as shit and that got turned into a post-apocalyptic hellscape despite the zords being cars with googly eyes
