There was a hilarious Silver run on Hydra where one person dropped shortly into the mission, and the other two people were struggling. I was hosting on my Battlemaster and charged all over that map, picking up teammates and smashing geth to little salvage bits with impunity. We got a partial extraction when one guy died in a forest of pyros seconds before the timer dinged.
Final score? I got over 100K. Other guys 30K-40K, I think. I was actually really happy with the team (they weren't a liability), so I clicked "ready" and went to get a soda.
When I came back they'd kicked me.
I had someone initate a kick but no one else clicked it on my salfiltrator. I think that person was mad I'd topped the previous map by 20k, which seems ridiculous.
"This guy is too good, he's making things too easy, LETS GET RID OF HIM!"
The decision to kick someone generally baffles me. I mean, I will kick someone if they're being a jerk on a mic (assuming that I haven't just muted them already) regardless of their points, but kicking the host, who has pretty much just earned you 30K credits instead of a wipe?
I don't even know.
Maybe they wanted to wipe and wait for a 4th person. Maybe they thought I was ignoring them because I'd muted their mics (which is my standard practice when I hear someone's breathing... I work too hard all day to want to listen to a stranger's rythmic oxygen intake when I'm playing my game). To be fair, I was ignoring them, but whatever they had to say would not sway me from wanting to complete the mission.
I don't glory hound or "kill steal" (which I don't really see as a "thing" that exists). I finish waves as fast as possible, while having as much fun as possible.
Only time I vote to kick is if there are three of us with green screens and the fourth after a minute has not made any motion to click it. Maybe what happened to you is that the variable changed when you were away from your desk and they had three clicks and not yours?
Outside of that I'd write it off as gooses being geese all flocking with their feathers.
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.
I have tried to kick apparently absent players. And also, a couple of times, a level one dude with barely any N7 level on a Gold map because I was trying to get a commendation pack, dude.

I was the host! There were still just the two of them, the two that I carried through the match. Is it even possible to kick with just three people?

That's fair about the gold, sorry brosef but you can't do a gold if you aren't ready to roll on a bronze.
Also I totally want a male quarian engy. It would probably be one of the only classes I don't take any fitness on because their attack powers are all so nice.

Yeah the kick is based on number of players. So if there are only three of you, you only need two to vote to kick.

That makes sense (though I imagine that you can't kick if there are only two players).
Anyway, I think the best thing about last night was that I picked up the Shield Boost I equipment. Man, getting that to level five is going to be great for my Battlemaster (assuming I don't have one of the rare ones that do the same thing by then).
If the consumables cap at 255, does that mean that if you cap all the consumables that you don't use, only the non-capped ones that you do use will drop in item packs?
Man...I swear I've never had so many pub wipes in this game as I have this week.
I will say that's the annoying thing about new DLC...it brings all the bad people back.
What is your N7 rank? I've had the opposite experience this week; wondering if it might be due to the matchmaking system.
Though I'm thinking the new weapons/gear are playing a part as well. Earlier this week I joined a group of 3 other infiltrators who all had Krysaes. It was the first time I can recall seeing a group successfully turtle up on Glacier gold. They went into the lower area at the base of the stairs and never had to move outside of objectives. No enemy came close to getting into that room. It made GWG seem challenging by comparison.

That is not what I'd call a good development.

No. You will simply get Equipment like ammo or amps instead of the medigel etc you would have otherwise gotten.
Krysae is getting nerfed next week, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

@Orca I agree. I left after the match because, you know, boring. I'm not too worried about it though, I'd have to imagine they'll be making some changes to the gun in the near future.
did banshees get some kind of aoe damage aura at some point? Have they always had that and I'm just dumb? Couple times playing last night my health seemed like it was just ticking away as I was near one, and then yep, taken down by banshee.
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

I don't doubt it.
And perhaps it doesn't speak well of my character, but I've got mine up to IX and I intend to use the shit out of it over the next few days (except that I'm out of the house tonight, tomorrow and most of Sunday, so I guess that's more "abuse the shit out of it on Monday", to be pedantic).
On the other hand, do you have any idea how many veteran packs I'm going to need to cap out?
Which is to say, I'd feel less bad about it if I didn't need to earn a small nation's GDP worth of credits to unlock a bunch of shit.
Edit: 12 gold weapon unlocks to go, 4 classes that need unlocking, and 33 gold gear upgrades. Not easy.
64 weapon and 50 silver gear upgrades to go! >.< Including excess character cards, That's gotta be at least 2-3 million credits just on Veteran packs, probably more.
Sure, I can spread that out over weeks, run a gold or two a night, get it done eventually... but holy crap that's a lotta stuff, especially if the gear unlocks remain in the 'random slots only', as has been speculated.
Edit 2: Plus the 79 ranks of Ultra Rare to go, but I've long given up on actually levelling any of those, even with the rumoured improved drop rate (which annecdotally has treated me better of late, but they're still rare as shit, even at every 2 or 3 PSPs).

580 but I doubt mm takes rank into account.
My n7 is 250, and I still seem to be getting grouped into matches with dudes that are in the 250 range. Most times I see someone with an N7 over 500, it's been because there's someone with an N7 under 100 in the match already.
Most of the wipes can be attributed to them just not having good gear for gold, rather than just being bad players though. It's very easy to confuse the two if you're not watching them while you do your thing.

I believe so. At least I've experienced this as well. Only a few bars of health left and a moment later I'm down despite the banshee not doing her aoe explosion or her hadouken.

Far as I recall they've had a DoT that ticked you down since release. I'm not sure if it's warp itself, but I can't tell you how many times I've used a Survival Pack as my last health bar ticked away.

If anyone is doing some silver runs later tonight my wife on the pc has a male quarian engy and she'll need the commendation win. Zaricay is her origin name thingamajiggy.

I had a game earlier this week where things were acceptably fluid much of the time, but there were stutters where the enemy would warp around on the screen a little. Worst was when they'd approach a ladder, and then teleport to the other end of it. No animation for climbing up or down whatsoever.

That post says nothing about the k rifle getting nerfed next week, it just says they'll probably be making changes soon.
I doubt they're going to make it more powerful.
It's more or less the pre-nerf Falcon/Sabotage situation. Of course they will nerf something that trivializes Gold, otherwise who'd buy those Spectre packs with funbucks?

Not to mention I don't think everyone is running golds. I sure don't. I like to just have fun and see where the pubs take me (normally to rage town... but still!).

Man I do love having Biotic Charge off cooldown, pointed at a dude two meters away, no lag to speak of, mashing the button... and it just decides it doesn't want to happen for a second or two.
I don't have 5/6 of the new classes or the Krysae or the Harrier, but at least I've gotten four more ranks of the GPSmg since Rebellion hit. One more and it can never hurt me again.
