I've won...two CSLs, I think, with Terran. But that was like a year ago.

    oh

    good point :(

Giving hydras speed as a hive tech upgrade feels like Blizzard is trolling Zerg. "Now you can pretend you're playing BW again...right up until your hydras actually engage and melt away like an ice creep cone on a hot summer's day".

Has a terran player ever won the CSL?

If they have, it hasn't been for a long long time.

I thought the same thing when I read mig's post

I posted out of fear. Fear of the oppressor.

I seriously think you can take this one Vari.
I haven't seen you play since the last time we faced on shakuras, and before that it was that CSL where your tank got stuck to my hatch cancel roach.

You're not the same man you were then, you are far stronger.
And you've been both left clocking and right clicking recently.

Ugh.. why you guys gotta talk about hydras? I miss them so much now. SC2 is a total tease for BW zerg player. When you first look at them you go "Holy crap! Hydras are way better in SC2!!", but then you use them and they melt before hitting anything.

This upgrade is just going to make it even worse. I know they'll still suck but I'll try using them anyway and they'll still be too expensive and melt too fast.

hydras even have the only attack sound in sc2 better than the bw sound

In breaking news that I'm sure has everyone on the edge of their seats, my ZvZ and ZvT remain good while my ZvP remains bad.

I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.

I'm so jealous of some of the things DotA2 has going on now.

You can now listen to commentators audio feed while spectating the game through DotATV. So you can look around, and will do stuff like toggle between your own free roam and the commentators camera. AND it saves the audio feed alongside the replay, on Valve's server, so you can pull down what is essentially the VODs for any game, ever, whenever you want.

The item trade is guaranteed to keep casual interest in shit for a long period of time and populations up.

You can export everything in the game very easily through tools they give you, and into Gary's Mod. So very soon you will be easily able to create hilarious machinima.

Well, the problem is that if NUKLS can beat ked in PvZ, ked can't make it out of pools without either beating Kebeh and forcing a 3 way tiebreaker (which I now realize Kambing has not accounted for) or Cruc beating NUKLS.

Also, I thought these were funny:

I actually think that stuff will have very little effect in terms of dota2's overall popularity. It's great for people that are invested in the game already, but it doesn't do anything for spectators. Twitch.tv/own3d.tv have already covered the broadcasting market and strong communities (TL, solomid) cover the strategies for the hardcore.

Also dotatv has the potential to cut out twitch/own3d from the loop. This is fine for players as they get far more value out of dotatv, but streaming is a large revenue stream that valve needs to be mindful of.

They are going to sell tournament passes through the game.

If you want something ad free, at the highest resolution/frame rate possible where you can live chat with your friends on the spot via text or voice that's what you get. Otherwise you watch through twitch, as adsupported.

Also Valve can do super cool things like give away items to the audience.

You want a hat for your characters that says "I was at the International"?. Watch through the ingame GUI.

    Digital concessions stands man.

Also note that MOBA has the least available ad time out of basically any ESPORT. It is about 1 hour games which can not be uninterrupted whatsoever without igniting fury.
