So after a really frustrating game today I'm done with LoL for awhile. It just hasn't been fun lately. I'll probably come back eventually though.
I would normally encourage you to try PAinhouse, but this AR rule can really lop-side the teams, as we got stuck with a Sona, Annie, Heimer, Karma, and Eve. Not only is that horrible, but we were against a Nasus, Udyr, Ashe, Ez, and Rumble. Pretty ridic, and loads of fun excrement.

Yeah, apart from Delphinades and I seizing control in some sort of coup, which worked this week.
I'm Hargaad. Ruler of all, follower of none. I have transcended random pick, and get to pick whoever I want, and since breaking up with Soraka, I started playing footsie with Aphrodite.
Yeah, I decided to play once, just so people would stop bothering me to try it. Random of course screwed us with 4 melee and a ranged against 4 ranged and a poppy.

So, free week champs can come up for randoms. I got lux. I've never played lux. I was bad.
My approach is to play a series of Dom co-ops each week with all free chars that i'v never played, haven't played recently, or play badly as. Dom isn't the best prep for classic, but the games a quick enough to become familiar with several champs in a short time. My top-laning vs. Fiddles would have gone far worse were it not for this practice.

Some days Blue wonders why anyone ever bothered making numbers so small; other days she supposes even infinity needs to start somewhere.
The thing is, we're not twisting your arms to play in the Painhouses. We design them in the hopes of the 'pros' (let's be honest, they're nowhere near that good either) not picking their best champs, and rolling everybody like has been seen before.
If anything, give the less-experienced players the champs they know best, and the pros can derp around and learn somebody different for a change.
That being said, here's a friendly mixer held after Painhouse:
I must say. For a first time Akali, and PacStar knowing how to Annie, I think doubling his score shows tremendous flexibility and a decent learning curve for Hargaad.
Edit: We still lost. I tip my hat to them for just playing better (of sorts). You can't win 'em all, and if you can, you shouldn't be playing for fun, anyways. You should be chained in Dignitas' Dungeon practicing until your next tournament!
