Looking for 4-5 people who may be interested in playing Lords of Waterdeep. It's a worker placement game with a D&D Forgotten Realms theme, essentially. Rules are here. It should work fairly well being run over forums, though of course that's part of the experiment.
As a disclaimer, there isn't any vassal mod out for this (that I can find), so if you play, you're going to have to subject yourself to the horrors of me manually making a board representation from MSpaint or GIMP or whatever. Handtracker will be needed also, for drawing/playing cards.
New or experienced is fine. I'll put the board and such together. Nullzone, unless you wanted to pass to XiV, I'll just be going with the first 5 responses.

Ok, I'm all set. Mojo and Nullzone, what are your handtracker IDs? And I need everyone to pick a color/faction - Grey (City Guard), Yellow (Knights of the Shield), Green (Harpers), Red (Red Sashes), or Blue (Silverstars). There's no mechanical differences between the factions.
Decks are all public templates now on handtracker, if you want to look through the cards. Everyone needs to draw 1 Lord, 2 intrigue cards, and 2 quest cards. Either play the quest cards after drawing, or play them straight from the deck, as they're always face up anyway.
Icerimp. Not sure if it's possible for this game, but you might want to adjust the templates to prefix whether the cards are intrigue/quest/whatever because it's not the easiest to tell them apart once they are in your hand.

Hmm, lets do it this way. We can just play quests straight from the deck, as they'll always be face up anyway. I was going to have a record of who had what quests active in each board update, and who had completed what quests separate, so I won't really need you to hold them in your hand.

I've tried to make everything as clear and simplistic as I could. When you draw a quest from Cliffwatch or build something from the Builder's Hall, they're replaced immediately, so play from the deck a replacement on handtracker.

Yeah, go ahead and draw any cards right from handtracker as needed. That goes for replacement quests when you take one from Cliffwatch or a replacement building when you build something. Then just post what the new quest/building is so others can see. That way if I'm not around, people won't need to wait on me.
