Hi folks, i'm wondering if anyone may know of some half-decent freeware 3d software similar to Maya? My student licence of Maya has expired and don't have a spare $3500 stashed away in my wallet. I'm downloading BLender atm so will give that a try tonight. But if anyne knows of anything which is like Maya i would love to hear. Or perhaps something with a reasonable price tag...

Also from what I understand Blender has come a long way so maybe that will satisfy your needs.
