Where is there any new quests after getting to the Capital? I can't find shit to do outside of these piddly Alehouse Board quests. I found a book for some guy, kicked a family out of a house, and now I'm just sort of hanging out waiting for something else to happen. I ventured north until I came to a place called Something Manse where they won't let me in.
I'm already at level 17 and I've run into a cyclops once, and that's the only giant monster I've come across outside of the Hydra you have to fight at the encampment.
"already at 17" doesn't mean a whole lot when max level is 200. More big monsters start showing up as you progress story quests.

High Anodyne isn't bad at all if you have things to lower cast times, but at default times it's a bit rough.
I think Tenfold Flurry (or whatever it's called) is my favorite skill in the game. Fire enchant + Liquid Vim while using that skill means all the Arch-hydras heads disappeared as if by magic.
The job board in the encampment is in the corner, near the training ground entrance.
I don't find it to be that much of a bad thing on a mage pawn. Sure, it would be great if the pawn AI could execute a spell/skill after the first level charge (which would be basic anodyne), but being a MK with Ruinous Sigil with usually no caster beyond the mage means s/he'll normally get the time to pull it off, and people will still be alive to enjoy it.
Then again, won't hit post-game untill tonight, so maybe I be screaming obsenities at High anodyne mage pawns at that point.

I don't use high anondyne because I find in post game, mages that stand still are dead mages. So I use lowish level spells and anondyne IMO does the job anyway. Also after absolutely wrecking a Wyvern with seeking shot, I am considering revising my opinion on magic archers.

Well it took some work to get a full set of Dragonforged gear with a bunch of the Everfall stuff. Had to kill the Ur Dragon with a rank 1 Magick Archer. It's just that everyone is hiring pawns in nothing but Silk Lingerie so...
Am I missing why everyone is so keen to rent out their pawns? It seemed like the potions were the only thing really useful on the RC vendor (and the game's fake rent out process gives you more than enough to buy them). I mean, besides the feeling of pride in your slavemaster skillz, is there really much point to it?
Now that I've put enough time into the game, my only true complaint is not being able to play multiple characters as an inbuilt game system, like character slots or 2 save "stories." I just like all the vocations so much! I think I'm going to restart, again, as a strider. It's a sickness, but damn this game is making its money back for me.
I'm very curious if we'll see any non-trash DLC like new land masses and such vs. chainmail thongs and +10 vs. drake dong weaponizers. I'd gladly pay for a handful of new caves or dungeons, and I'm usually stridently anti-DLC.

Yeah, I'm really hoping for some good DLC. Maybe a true expansion like Elder Scrolls does. But some new land masses would be nice, since the map is so large but so much of it is unused. Maybe some islands out in all that water, or go to some of the other lands mentioned, like where the princess is from, etc.
There's a good chance we'll get a Gransys frontier dlc.
Thats where Hydras naturally exist after all.
Im curious about another sky though. Like I fully expect it to end with a turn in all your medallions for some wicked armor set.
I didn't even get the second because the first was so ridiculous. It would be nice if they could get turned in though, but I'm not interested in paying for PIECES of a quest. Bastards.
The description of those are funny on the marketplace. "The quest is simply, find the badges, but it will take ALL OF YOUR SMARTS to find them"
Select quest in game > get waypoint to exact location.
Hope you took Lucas out instead! He's pretty good for level 11.
I had just cleared the Quarry. I made it to the camp and was refreshing my Pawns before I left for work. When I couldn't find him I just saved and quit, I had to get out the door.

Well, the RC gets you more customization options too but that's it. I'm hoping the RC Vendor will add weapons and armour eventually; maybe super goofy armour like panda and frog suits.
Thinking about picking this one up. Giantbomb's review lamented the lack of a real permanence to the story in the world, but the rest of it looks cool enough to give it a try.
I think Bluemoon Tower is where pawns go to die. It's like they lose basic motor skills and walk right off platforms there.
My pawn came back recently with no rating, gifts etc. so I figured she probably died. It said she gained knowledge of Bluemoon Tower, and I'm guessing that knowledge was "stay on the fucking stairs we're not paratroopers".
I hate not having as much time to play this as I want. I keep reading posts and I'm like "what are you guys talking about?" I feel like I'm missing out hardcore on this game somehow. Which reminds me, re: forging items and a particular quest from soon after reaching Gran Soren -
I got the Grimoire from that Rogue stronghold south of Witchwood at the top of the tower. Turns out my pawns all knew it was there, so I just climbed up and got it, no real questing involved. Looks like I have a 2* rating on it for my main pawn right now, wondering if that will get up to 3* when I turn it in. Anyways, is there any benefit to forging a copy of the Grimoire for ~35k gold and turning in the forgery? What does using the Grimoire do that I should keep it since I'm playing as a Magick Archer? Anything? In other words, what are the pros and cons of forging it vs. just turning it in? I don't care about spoilers.

I got the second part automatically. I only paid for the first five but then I got another set. I figured I bought another sky as a whole but they were doling it out weekly.
Or I just misread the content summary.

if you keep it for yourself it just casts a decent fire spell one time only. Better to turn it in.
Leveled too high to get my pawn into the top 100. Oh well. It's not like there is any use for RCs.
Yeah. I'm sitting at over half a million RC and I already bought everything that wasn't the worthless ring/earring off the vendor ages ago.
I'm also losing some rank now I think, but I'd have to get someone else to check what Hrist's is. I had to buff up her defenses as she's getting hired by Randoms a decent amount now and a) they're not as kind as PA people which isn't so bad because opinions are opinions and I've never got a bad rating but b) she's coming back with the auto-3 stars dead thing way more often now. Totally gave her the two +50 Defense Augs again. Ugh.
Not sure what Cloak to put on her. Right now she has the AoE Healing one, which is outstanding for me in my game, but I'm not sure how many people in other games give their hired pawns healing items and consumables like they should.

I do.
I've only lost one pawn, and it was my only non-PA pawn, and it was to an unfortunate drowning incident in the water god's temple

You can see your own pawn's rating if you look for top rated pawns in the Rift. I think randoms kill everyone's pawns. If you look at top rated pawns, most of them have 4 stars due to this. Did see a lvl 62 Fighter in full Dragonforged Everfall set and 5 stars in everything, though.

If anyone needs a level 11 Fighter Pawn, Anna is looking for some work. My 360 tag is the same as my forum name.
Right by the exit that leads to Gran Soren.

Basic Anodyne just works as good for far less casting time as far as I've seen.
Hellhounds chimera and a lich all in one room.
Like a perfect storm of fuck you. Might as well throw in a Cockatrice
Also: god damn I'm glad I was an assassin for that last fight. Would have gone crazy without a bow.

My Arisen slightly adjusted his glasses before glaring.
So far this week I've been lucky if I get an hour to play each day. I'm soo far behind everyone else.
