Blue Wall, eh? Blue Line? Whatever it's called, I guess it works like this:

The cop who followed the rookie home and tried to give him a retaliatory ticket for running a red light was docked 20 days pay. The Staff Sergeant who failed to intervene on the rookie's behalf was docked 20. Another unnamed officer, likely the one who was in the car with the rookie and refused to get involved in the original arrest, was docked 15. The red-light ticket was thrown out.

The drunk off-duty officer fired his lawyer and plans to represent himself at his upcoming trial.

I don't see the problem here. A few police officers didn't like the idea of a rookie going to another cop's home and hauling him in on a report that he was driving drunk. Those officers promptly got their asses handed to them. The off-duty officer is being charged and is going to court, and always was so.
