Oh man, I've always thought that Aquaman was a weak-ass character, but that trailer actually made me think "Holy shit, this dude could be pretty badass." Is there any word yet on what the Wii U version might bring to the table compared to the PS3/360 versions? Gamestop customer service confirmed for me that the Red Son DLC will not be available for the Wii U version, so I'm leaning more towards the PS3 at this point.

I second the "who gives a shit" notion. It is a fighting game. We didn't used to have elaborate stories with our fighting games back in the they. People just fight. The fact they are are including a story mode for this gives no one the right to complain about this "OoOoOh, but how can they survive fighting Superman, OoOoOh." It will either be explained in STORY MODE, in the comic, or who gives a shit and just enjoy the game.
With each trailer I am getting more excited. The fact that the story mode will be like MK9 is fantastic. MOAR CHARACTERS!

When games fail to give a plausible explanation or worse the who gives a shit its a fighting game an entire subsection of players how dont normally play fighting games will think, well damn its just another fighter with DC/Marvel/Capcom/Anime skins.
If you are going to create a set of skins based off of X universe then you need to give more than a tip of the hat to said universe if you want to draw in their fanbase.
One of the reasons that I eventually passed on MK vs DC was the dark khan plot device.
As handwavey as that was, it did make for a few cool scenes. Like Joker realizing he might actually be able to take Batman in a fight now, and thus luring him into an ambush.
I really felt that game handled the DC characters well. The MK ones, not so much.

So the Joker will be the DC villain equivalent of Chris Redfield of MvC3.

I know it's probably incredibly unlikely there will be a PC port of this, but here's to hoping that one day...

Course I'd totally read a buddy comic of Shazam and Dr. Fate kicking mystical ass through out the mystical universe.
It was such a crime that Shazam/Cap was only in JLU for one single episode. And he clearly hasn't been used enough in Young Justice. At least his New 52 backup is amazing and he'll probably get his own series or be a member of a team once his origin backup is done in a couple months.
If I were writing that comic I would have just made Luthor take over the world peacefully and Superman just all like "Fuck this, y'all are idiots, I'm taking over"
But I guess tossing pregnant Lois into space is one way to do it

I always liked Captain Marvel going back to the live action tv series in the early 70s. Probably the best use of him lately was in First Thunder which is supposed to be his first meeting with Superman, and includes Supes tearing into the Wizard and asking him how he could do this to a little boy, there's another great scene where Cap holds Sivana by the throat and laments that regardless of whether he kills him, it won't fix things. So did they add Power Girl or what? I know he teased her being added.
Ok, for the last week of that Battle Arena there are four slots left.
However, we have five confirmed characters who haven't fought yet (Catwoman, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Nightwing, and Superman).
I could easily see Green Arrow vs. Deathstroke and Catwoman vs. Nightwing being the last two battles...but that would mean no Superman which seems a bit odd (unless he fights the winner or something). I suppose they may also use a character we don't know about yet and leave out some of the above.
