Maybe Kilowog just shows up in the story at some point. 2 playable lanterns would be a little too similar I think.

That's why it should be Larfleeze instead.

Hey remember how the ps3 version of MK had Kratos in it? And Ed Boon said they might be interested in a guest character at some point?

As an inFamous fanboy I think it would be cool if they got Cole Macgrath in there. I think he would fit, being a superhero and whatnot.

As much as I love Grundy and feel he got hosed in the voting I can't help but feel he lost because in the long run of the game he wont play too big of a role in the story. Did love him start quoting his trademark poem mid fight though. Giggled heartily at that.

Deathstroke vs Green Arrow though better a god damn landslide. There is no way Slade would lose in a fight 1 on 1 fight with anything short of a Super. Arrow is good but no where near Slade's level.
Catwoman vs Nightwing is strongly in Nightwing's favor. Catwoman really is the character in the entire roster that feels way out of place. Its like they thought "Hey she was in the popular Arkham games...throw her in" It would have been better to have another Superman villain like Toyman or Parasite in her place.

Isn't the battle arena based on votes from viewers.

I mean if thats the case you can pretty much expect the more popular character to win.

Expect Batman to be in the final round.

Catwoman was in MK vs DC. They weren't going to leave her out.

Solomon Grundy is typically not much of a threat. He's the kind of "villain" who shows up and is just a mindless thug who causes a bit of property damage and stirs up some panic in the citizens he's near.

But he doesn't have any remarkable super powers other than his brutish strength and his ability to be reborn.

I guess in the past they have tried to make him more interesting by saying that each time he is reborn, he takes on a whole new personality, and there have been a few times where his new personality has been a schemer and a mind smart enough to make calculated plans. But generally speaking he's just a thug.

Grundy is pretty much a force of nature in the DC Universe. He is one of, something like, 12 acknowledged immortals in the universe. For the most part he just wants to be left alone. Batman tolerated him being in the Gotham sewers because it is more trouble to try and relocate him than to leave him be. Best example of this was in The Long Halloween. He does have multiple personalities, but the peaceful part of him has been permanently locked down by the others so it can never be reborn again.

I'll imagine that one of the Villains, Lex or Joker, will be using him either as a bodyguard or a weapon to distract the heroes in the Injustice storyline. That is unless he suddenly starts standing upright and wearing a 5k dollar suit. Then everyone is screwed.

The best Grundy story happened pre-Crisis. Originally a Golden Age Green Lantern villain from Earth 2, Solomon Grundy bridged the dimensional gap through sheer force of will because he wanted to meet his own doppleganger (there wasn't one). He did, however, meet the then insanely powerful Earth 1 Superman, and proceeded to whip his ass.

That is not the same as saying "And that boss fight as awesome fun".

It was a serviceable boss fight game mechanics wise. It's nothing stellar. The rest of the game being fuck off awesome doesn't magically make it better than it was. Bosses are not Rocksteady's strong suit. AA's were terribad and in AC they managed to bust a gut to be....not terrible anymore. Freeze is the only really good boss in that entire series and he doesn't even work the same way as the rest of them.

Well...Thing is most boss fights are one-on-one things.

AA and AC systems weren't made for one on one fights. That said, they at least managed to not be boring or generally unfun which is a step up from AA.

Sometimes I wonder if UV is just messing with us.
    Also fun =/= well designed.

I had fun in unpatched default The Force Unleashed. So much fun! You will never, ever, catch me saying the game is well designed. It's a bag of crap. I just loved it anyway and had a ball.

"I had fun" is a not a meaningful method of determining the quality of anything.

It's not a measure of quality though. It's a measure of "things UnbreakableVow likes". It's great for you, obviously, but it's completely useless for anyone not you, unless they happen to share all your likes and dislikes.

Also I have no opinion of DmC because I refuse to play it for an idiosyncratic reason that has nothing to do with this discussion. I don't hate it or like it. I'm nothing towards it.

Quality is subjective as well, ace

Ninja Gaiden is supposedly a masterful work of the action game genre but I think it's fucking horrid and a terrible chore to play

I'm using the same meaning of quality as you would use if you wanted to distinguish between something well made (literally: lasts longer, has a more coherent structure, is constructed of superior parts and put together by skilled craftsman. think "quality custom made cupboard") and something bought from a regular furniture retailer (eg ikea). It's function, not it's feel. Just because the custom made one is of a higher quality, doesn't necessarily mean you will like that cupboard more than the ikea one.

edit: Also this has gone completely off topic.
