Well, apparently all online batgirls so far do is that silly teleport over and over. Which means they lose to even me, which is like the worst possible shame.

Because people online are generally bad unless you get in a Room. I remember for the longest time I fought crappy lobo players who spent half the time crouch jabbing me (like most noobs do) instead of using his rather awesome combos or moves against me. It made me think for the longest time I'd win against almost any Lobo player; until I fought one in a room and he nearly wrecked me.
EDIT: That laughing gas buff for Joker is definitely noticeable. Just a frame or more less than it used to be, but the speed boost for the wind-up is there.
good lord, bat girls mix up game is ridiculous. The range is short, but once she's in, it's guessing high/low for days. Gotta push block dat ho on the first hit.
She's got decent mixups even at the start of some of her strings, she seems pretty solid all around frankly

Fighting games are just spacing and reactions so if you keep playing eventually the execution isn't really going to hold you back.
I'm surprised you can even come up with a list like that, Minerva. Most matches I play vary waaay too wildly in opponent skill level for me to say anything like that. Like, I just played my first competent Joker ever a few minutes ago and got bopped just cause I barely knew what he was even capable of truly doing. If I was gonna argue otherwise, I will say Green Lantern feels like a horrible matchup for her and Nightwing / Flash not being *too* bad if you keep pestering them midrange. (I might just not have played a very good player with those characters yet, however.)
My god... Batgirl... I finally have a counter character to annoying Nightwing players (not implying that all are annoying) and zoning characters! Well, one that isn't Doomsday, that is.
EDIT: Case in point, I fought a guy who started as Superman and spammed the heat ray; rather than attempting to dodge it and play keep-away, I just spammed the teleport and hit him every time he tried; he eventually rage-quit.

Both Joker and GL are probably 2 of the only characters you want to fight full screen as much as possible. GL can't do a thing to Harley full screen, Joker has his gunshot but Harleys is better. You don't want to be anywhere near GL. Joker isn't as bad, but his set ups after a knockdown are not something you want to deal with. Both of them you can completely zone out with gunshots and MB cupcakes. But if they get, in they completely wreck Harley's shit because of her garbage wake up options. That's why I put "if played right", if you play the match well it is completely free, but make one or two mistakes and you can lose in a second.

Man, Batgirl seems really fun and all, but I can't do ANY of the combos in that video posted on the last page. I don't know if I'm too slow or what but I can NOT get a bola out fast enough after launching a dude.
Edit: Also, don't know anyone mentioned it, but Powergirl got the 3rd least amount of votes in Ed Boon's poll. As someone who doesn't give a flying turd about Powergirl I am pleasantly surprised.
Could be worse even better! Could be Queen's Blade.
Fixed it for ya.
If you say so.
Edit: You know what. Google "Queen's Blade Cattleya". Yeah.
Granted, there is that. Hey, they have to serve everyone's cup of tea, right?
Batgirl is pretty awesome, she might give Nightwing a run for his money in close up crazyness.
As for the ranbats I want to run them this weekend, only pain in the balls is still getting my 360 online with any regularity since I have to trash my whole setup for the rest of the house to do it. Time to invest in wireless when I get a spare 50 bucks I guess.

Have the full results for that poll been posted? I can't seem to find anything about it.

Tests have shown that Bane takes less damage on venom withdrawal than previous. Prepatch superman super did 82%. Now it's 63%
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Stupid freaking cancels, man. Offline, I can cancel a Joker combo to crowbar no problem. Online, it's like it's impossible to do with latency. Just a tiny bit of latency seems to throw everything off. So dumb.

EDIT: Turns out it's not latency, but rather crummy inputs on my part when I implement a jump attack. *Sigh* back to the drawing board, which means practice 80 million times until I can go to online and not be able to use it on a deathstroke zoner.
EDIT 2: How the fuck did I quote myself there? Sheesh *Face-palm*

Fought a death stroke gun spammer online as batgirl. He got chip damage in initially and absolutely nothing else. She is utterly hilarious against anyone who tries to spam zoning moves like supermans heat vision or deathstrokes guns. People trying to do this online might we well rage quit straight up against her.
Edit: GGs emnmnme. I really have a lot of trouble dealing with players who block a lot (as most people I play online don't block much and go for an all out assault as well). I am also playing way too many characters, so I am getting entirely confused between my inputs.

She is really great actually. I was afraid she would play way too much like Batman, but in play she's entirely her own thing. It's pretty fun to keep popping onto a spammer and them having no idea what to do.
Edit: Seriously, I was a big critic of her being another "bat character" but it worked out so well.
I hope the remaining two DLC characters also serve as foils to popularly abused characters and playstyles.
It would be neat to see a close-quarters character who excels at grapple breaking and escape.
I'd also like to see a more defensively oriented character. Not a turtle, or someone who just blocks all the time. But rather, someone who takes a more proactive approach to damage avoidance/reduction and has strong counterattacks. Someone whose greatest position of strength is slow, methodical defensive play.

Playing against Batgirl is quite an experience. How do you avoid the teleport?
It boggles my mind how few people realize you have to block Harleys MB cupcakes high. I fought an aquaman who was BODYING ME, like, I was half health on my 2nd bar and he was like 60% of his first. I then spammed gunshots and mb cupcakes and he ate every.single.one, because he ducked them all. all 2343 of them. You would think after the 2nd or 3rd he would block high, but man people down/back like their life depends on it in this game, it's ingrained in their psyche.
I feel I win way too many matches off mb cupcakes. Come on people.

I don't know if I have entered the negaverse or something, but everyone I am playing today has been really cool. Close matches get a gg if I win or lose. This isn't the Xbox live I am used to!
Ugh, it's not that I hate facing people who spam Bat Girl's teleport, it's that I hate that they can't even take the time to learn her SIMPLEST of combos. And same guy in KOTH just... ZONED with her, like it was the most viable thing to do. Whatever, someone will beat the guy at his own game soon.
yeah i bought batgirl because i'm weak. she is so good... i really like her so far. i need to spend more time in practice but she felt really easy and fun to play as. sucks she has a broken move but i doubt i will run across that online too often...
By the way, one of the things the patch fixed was for those of us who couldn't see our online hero card before, we can now. Nice to be able to see my full stats finally!
