Since December, I've become a pretty avid climber, usually hitting the gym (or outside when I can) 3 times a week or so. Fortunately for me, Austin has a couple of great places I can go to get my fix. I'm moving to San Antonio in a couple of months though, and I'm trying to find a place to climb. Indoors is highly preferable, since I don't have ropes or quickdraws or anything of that nature, and also because I'm starting med school in the fall and likely won't have enough time for the all-day trips that outdoor climbing usually entails. I've hit up google with disappointing results, and I plan on bugging people at my local REI to see what they know, but I'm casting my net far and wide at this point. Anyone know of anything?

UTSA has a really nice four-level climbing wall at their recreation facility. I believe the non-student membership is 30$ a month, though that might have changed since I worked there. I don't recall exactly how high the wall goes; somewhere on the order of 50 or 60 feet, if you take the highest side.

UTSA is going to be your best bet for indoor climbing - I don't think there's a facility like the Austin Rock Gym down in SA.
