So, I don't know if this is what's causing some people to avoid the game, but the game isn't actually as complex or time consuming as it might seem? I do a lot of the work for you
The rules boil down to: build a mech, and then either fight other mechs, or do missions. You can get more in depth if you want to get the full experience, but you can still get most of the phalla without getting heavy into them.
As far as time: essentially you probably need to put in maybe an hour or so into the pregame figuring out which parts you want, but you should only really be looking at 1-Star items for now, so there aren't that many available. Most days you will only earn enough money to be maybe 2-3 upgrades, (or one big one), so that shouldn't take more than a few minutes to find an applicable one. Again, you can go long and really in depth on this if you like, but there's no requirement, and you should still be able to enjoy the game without doing so.
The sign-ups haven't been up all that long, the other mini has two games going on at once so the actual attrition rate is kind of low, and the main signups also just went up.
