My computer has decided to turn against me. Yesterday I moved house, and when I set the computer back some of the settings had somehow been changed (no idea how or why this happened). I managed to get things mostly back to how they were, but there's one problem I can't seem to fix.
I have a 5.1 speaker system, which up until the move worked completely fine. As of moving, I can now only get the computer to play music through the front 2 speakers. I've checked the speakers themselves by plugging them into my TV, they worked fine.
I've gone into the audio settings of my computer and looked at the advanced speaker options. I noticed they'd changed from 5.1 surround to desktop speakers (2.1) . I changed that back, hoping it would solve my problems, and it did nothing. Upon restarting my computer and going back into those options, I noticed it had switched back to the desktop speaker setting.
Am I doing something wrong here? Or am I missing something else entirely?
