Asura have the best emotes. Period.

Charr may be the best race, but the asura emotes are absolutely amazing.

Try /ponder and you'll see what I mean.

There is still sillyness in the asura, just happily cut with mad scientists with egos the size of small planets. I am finding them much more delightful than I thought I would. Sylvari is still going to be my main, but asura is now a close second.

If for no other reason than Mr. Sparkles.

Guardians really do make you feel invincible. I have no idea what the hell I'm doing but I haven't gotten killed once in PVP yet. Last weekend I died like five times each match with most of the other classes.

Also, count me in for the black asura. Had no idea you could make those but I'm loving em.

Maybe it's just me, but the "downed" mechanic just isn't very fun, especially in PvP. Any decent team is going to kill you so fast it won't even matter. Plus it'd be too easy to just be a goose and leave someone downed. To say nothing of how much it kills the flow of combat to suddenly be down, spamming a new set of skills, or to be attacking someone, see them go down, and have to run over and hit the button. It's a mechanic that works well in CoD or something, cause you just double tap, but not in an MMO.

I got in and was playing earlier, but logged off to eat dinner with the family. Now it appears that I can no longer contact the login server. Obviously the issue isn't on my end, so I can only assume they must be getting hammered pretty damn hard right now. Oh well.

Wow, Sylvari are a lot more intriguing than I thought they would be. I can see my Sylvari engineer alt getting a lot of playtime come release.

One thing that still bugs me though is that a whole bunch of graphical options are wrapped up into the one "Post Processing" dropdown. I just want to turn off the dumb overdone bloom, not everything else too.

My god, Necromancers are beasts, at least in PVE. This gal is putting my Ranger from last BW to shame. Oh no, I'm hurt, perhaps I'll drop my healing skill. Oh, still hurt? Eat my minion. Oh, still hurt? I'll just go shadow form and suck out everyone's souls.
Their underwater combat is pretty shit compared, though. Melee skills are pretty crap, good luck judging distance. "Miss miss miss miss miss".

[edit] I remember someone at some point mentioning Asura (could) ride golems. Is that just lore or class mechanic or Nord style "lawl wait 30 levels" or what?
