thanks guys, I originally was leaning towards option 2 because they seemed a little safer (I think the rims are a little less...horny), but I think I'd come full circle by the time I took those pictures. the first ones are just slightly less chunky, and I think like Blake said the second ones kind of cramp my face compared to them.

plus, I went too safe with my last pair and hardly ever wore them.

fwiw, the construction on all 5 pairs feels very solid. the hinges are nice and stiff and they're very comfortable.

Yup! I got her from a shelter so I don't know for sure but she displays a lot of the characteristics of the breed, appearance (obviously) and personality wise. She is a total sweetheart.
