Are any of the recent Spyros any good?

I'm currently thinking about getting a platformer or two to round out my Gamecube collection for my Wii. While I was browsing shelves, I noticed that A Hero's Tale is on the Gamecube, as well as a new game I had never even heard of. I loved Spyro 2 and 3, but hated Day of the Dragonfly enough that I started ignoring the series up to this point. Are the new Spyro games any good?

No. Maybe the newest one. But not the others.

Ah, thanks. I assumed that was the case from the complete lack of the series ever being mentioned anywhere here even once that I've seen, but I thought I might as well ask.

Ah well, any good alternatives for platformers?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you have mario. So, lets see. Platformers...can't think of anything. Check the VC on your wii.

The reviews on it aren't great, but I rather enjoyed Legend of Spyro. More combat heavy than the rest of the series, but it was fun.
